I would try to get a referral honestly. You could post in the job referral bowl and see if you can network with some folks in there. Soemtimes getting a personal referral is all you need to get your foot in the door.
You definitely could do it - just gated af so a referral could be the answer you need. SDR route is often tricky so be careful you’re better than thay
When I say the route is hard I mean unless you find a solid product to sell you can get stuck in a role not hitting quota. You have a ton of experience if I were you I’d really try and find a full cycle AE role where you are essentially a BDR that also closes deals. If you go straight to SDR at the wrong company then you could get stuck in the role. Find somewhere you can overperform
