Where to go next? I've been a medical coder for 12yrs and hold a CPC & COC from AAPC. I've worked at a large Healthcare org, as a contractor for another large Healthcare org & lastly worked at a payor in their FWAE dept reviewing pre-pay claims. While I enjoyed my latest position in more of an auditing role, I am thoroughly over working a production environment. Where do I go from here? I live in SoCal & have worked remote for 11yrs & want to continue. I've yet to exceed $60k & really need to.

Hi Guys, Currently am working with KPMG global as a Consultant and my fixed package is 12.3 + 15% bonus. I managed to clear HCl interview process and got 17.5 in which 14.7 is fixed + bonus of 87k and annual bonus of 1 lakh. Is it a good offer as I have 6.5 years of experience ? I have also heard HCL giving around 5-7% yearly hike and you dont get 100% bonus as well. And what about onsite opportunities?

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

Help! I’m utterly confused. I’m in the interview/prescreening stage for a large Fortune 500 company and when discussing salary I’m told it’s an OTE of 150K with a mix of base salary, stock, and a signing bonus. FIRE folk, do you contribute to a traditional IRA, with the expectation that your income will be lower when you finally hit FIRE and hope for that ~10 tax, so you'll do ladder conversions later or do you do direct Roth or backdoor Roth conversion contributions now? Thoughts on the federal government’s direct hiring authority? I think it’s counterproductive and potentially unethical. There is often little vision or actual critical need behind using this authority other than quick and easy hiring, and in my opinion, unnecessarily increasing the size of the federal workforce.
