I tested positive for covid, after 14 weeks I was negative.
Things I did: 1000mg Vitamin C pill, Zinc, and Vitamin D (I ate each pill once in the morning and again in the evening; for 14 days straight and i’m still doing it)
Buy an oxymeter, it’s cheap and on amazon, measure your oxygen levels every consistently during the day but especially once you wake up and before you sleep. if oxygen levels are below 90 go to the hospital.
Buy a vick’s air steamer, do this during the day it feels good and helps you breath better.
Lastly do breathing exercises, you want to keep yours lungs active just take deep breaths, count to 10. breath out do it a couple times when you can.
I am currently still taking the pills and doing breathing exercises every now and then, but according to the cdc once you pass these 14 days you get 3 months of immunity so their is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just got to push thru and let your body fight it off, follow the regiment, it worked for me and others in my family. you got this 👍
OP I lost my sense of taste and smell, I luckily did not have any severe issues. But towards the end of my 14 day period I was fine. My dad on the other hand had it a little worse, was throwing up and had a fever. I think it had to do with how much he ate. I would recommend eating light. Overall though after his 14 weeks, he was fine as well. He actually got it first, and that’s how I experienced this regiment. Then I got it. Both of us are now fine. The advised recommendation was to get tested again after 14 weeks, which is why we waited till then.

Sorry to hear but please please remain calm during this time. If you’re not 70+ you’re not at crazy high risk. Treat individual symptoms as they appear ASAP, drink a lot of water, and stay healthy.
My partner and I were also sick with COVID back in March. Feel free to DM me
Yes, I’m young and healthy and I had it too. I’ve never been so sick in my life. That pretty much sums it up. I was so worried about what was going on with my body, especially when I at first didn’t realize it was covid. One month of not being able to breathe right, fevers so bad I could barely move, I couldn’t go up stairs because it felt like there was someone standing on my chest, and coughing that you can’t shake that just comes from deep in your lungs. The media says young people get it and are fine five minutes later. Maybe that’s true for some. I’ve been doing some research and apparently the time period when I got it meant there was a particularly bad strain floating around then in the city I was in. I continue to have some breathing problems like when I’m hiking a steep hill. I’m very healthy, again, just want to stress that, so this whole thing has been very unsettling. I think I may have some kind of lung damage but I’m sure any doc will look at me and probably dismiss my fears.

I encourage you to still look into seeking treatment or volunteering to be monitored. Your experiences could help the medical community learn how to treat you and others.

Sorry to hear OP stay strong! Take it really easy and keep in close contact with your doctor. When you’re exhausted and stressed it makes sense to also get emotional feel defeated. Hope you both feel better!
Keeping measuring your oxygen level. We had it recovered after 14 days. Took me another 2-3 weeks to get my energy level back. Keep up the hopes. Load up on vitamin C and food whatever you can.
Between You should quarantine and get loads of rest. This virus fools you into believing you are normal when you are sick. Please do not take the advise of following any crazy routine. Don’t run etc like OP is suggesting for several reasons - 1) get rest 2) don’t spread. Most people who get it loose energy levels. Unless you believe in WH theories listen to your doctor and common sense advise of what to do when you get sick. If you do believe in WH theories then may god help you 😅. Regardless, Get well soon..!!

Hey OP, while al these anecdotal "cures" may have worked for each poster, please consult your doctor before you take anything, even supplements. Not everyone's body can handle massive doses of vitamin C, for example, and it can do more harm than good.

Dietitian here. You can “overdose” on fat soluble vitamins, D is one. Consult your doc.
Has anyone else experienced or heard of this? It’s awful to feel this way on top of feeling so physically horrible already. I’m scared.
I had Covid in early March and was also incredibly weepy. I am not a very emotional person and I cried over everything while I was sick. I know a few other people who have the same experience with Covid. Take care of yourself and rest as much as possible!!
I took Tylenol until my fever got reduced. Dry cough for a week. Thankfully I only got fever for 3-4 days. But you get the weird feeling you described as if it’s the end. I almost felt like I was dying. 14 days from the first symptom will be brutal. It’s almost as Flu if you’ve had a severe flu. For me, first week was brutal then I lost my taste and smell. If you can persist for the two weeks and you’re healthy, you will overcome. Oh and be active every day. Get outside your room, cut the grass or vacuum the whole house, cook, run, whatever but be active. That’s what cured mine I guess. I did take some supplements too zinc, and daily mixed supplement.
Sorry I meant first 14 days are brutal then symptoms start disappearing. I would say two weeks for recovery. Also, get at least 9-10 hours of sleep every night. Take short naps during the day. That helped with my recovery. I barely sleep on average of 6-7 hours on weekdays. I noticed I used to feel really sluggish if I wasn’t sleeping well. Then I started sleeping for more than 8 hours and it helped. It also gets difficult to fall asleep some nights but good luck. You will get over it. Drink lots and lots of water. Keep the fluid going.

Same. Be gentle with yourself. One day at a time.
I think it’s normal to feel emotional when you don’t feel good. It’s scary and you feel helpless. I cry every time I get strep throat because it’s so painful.

Can’t speak for Covid but i was very sick four years ago with the flu and bronchitis. I *never* get sick, let alone fever for days. I was an emotional wreck. I thought my boyfriend was going to break up with me for all these reasons I made up in my head. I was crying all day, depressed... it was bad. Trying to make you feel not alone here! I hope you recover soon!! 💗💗💗

Op goto the ER and get some remdesvir.
How did you get it?
Ohh ...ohh. your sister knew you and your husband are immune compromised but still choose to visit you with COVID symptoms?
That’s sinister to the core. May be she wants the whole estate for herself.
Please be careful in the future around your sister and get well soon.
