When she is calling you out in front of client calmly reference back to the email, document, phone call where you provided the information and then offer to restate it . The client will see what is happening and you can be very gracious about it. Nothing hurts mean people more than our ability to pretend it isn't happening. By taking the high road you demonstrate better character and that too is good for the client.
Ugh what a weasel!! Hate working with people like this. The only consolation is that her own team probably hates her too because leopards don’t change their spots and she does the same things to her juniors. She only knows how to “manage upwards” and grinds everyone else in the ground
Hate those ppl the most OP. Call her out as much as you can in the same “innocent” manner, and play stupid when she digs for info from u.
I have already told her the answers to things she is complaining about many times. My whole team hates her and knows how awful she can be. But she drives me crazy. She is the stereotypical wolf in sheeps clothing and given that she says everything with a smile it seems okay. She also continually tries to get info from me that her contracting team does not need to know. Just needed to vent.
My old (amazing) female director used to call that: girl on girl crime. When we don’t advocate for each other and help each other out, we lose. In this case I would try doing the opposite once. Prop her up and see if she gets how good it feels and how you’re not a threat. I’ve often found that women tend to do that to each other out of fear there is competition. When often there is not.
Also don’t exclude me from meetings with the client and then act when we talk like I’m in the wrong when you didn’t include me in he first place!
