I have FAR on July 20th and I may move it. I’m on a highly demanding Internal Audit Client where I work 12 hours a day w/o my 1 hour commute. I’m currently starting F5 in Becker.

You seem smart tbh. My gut is telling me you can pass on 7/20 lmao!

Hey there, you can knock out at least a module/day. I'm at F7 now and is taking the exam on July 23 and is having off year busy season for the whole month of June. But I also planned for 1 week of crap sims and 2 weeks of mock exams.

I would say move it to end of July if you can, so that you can practice mock exams.

You may be a faster learner than me though and can do more than one module a day while working 12 hours.

Best of luck!

[Continued] I also have to go California for a week for walkthroughs (I’m based in Boston). I have BEC and AUD done. I get REG results on 6/28. Should I move FAR for my peace of mind? I’m also off for 6 weeks from September - October.

Thanks for the input! My big worry right now is my REG score. If I fail it, should I study for FAR during my leave of absence and maybe try and switch my exam from FAR to REG? Or leave FAR as is and study for REG during my leave?

They’re not releasing scores until September, so not matter if you take it July 20th or September 10th, you’re getting your score the same time. I’d say take it this testing window no matter what, and if you have to take it again, take it again. That’s my advice.

Any advice on dealing with a particularly critical client? I’m confident in the work I and my partners do. I think we add value and are great at what we do. I have a client who just attacks everything I do and goes to my boss at the drop of a hat. I’m starting to experience significant anxiety every time I see an email from this person. This morning I woke up to another critical email to my boss with a copy to me. I’m at a loss and now questioning my work and concerned about my job.

Should I communicate this to client before pushing back against OP’s rejection of the mod?

I’m new to this startup and was leading a cross functional project involving several other product teams with dependencies. When we got near the end with E2E testing, I realized that none of the product teams really do QA: no test scripts, not logs of dev unit testing, no documentation of testing cycles – there devs asked “what do we do about edge cases?” I raised this to my boss (since I don’t manage those other teams) and he said I’m creating unnecessary stress for the teams. Is he right?

Does anyone have experience moving from federal to commercial? I’ve been in federal for a little over a year and am itching for higher paced, less bureaucratic client work.

I remember when I first started working on my thesis project. My adviser asked me to get some funding for it, but he didn't give me any advice about how to do that. He just told me that if I wanted money for my project, I'd have to go through some kind of committee process and submit an application for funding from them. Sure enough, after weeks of writing applications and waiting around for responses from the committee members (who were always too busy), I eventually got approved for funding!
