I have joined Target 6 months back, now I am getting a call for interview with TESCO sde3. Will it be worth to leave Target and join Tesco if selected just for pay hike? Yoe 7, cctc 30 lpa. Target Tesco

Target is Just one of the finest institutions in the world u can get into, if ur from Target Tech, ull get to work with every damn open source tech available and only sky is the limit.

I have moved on from Target but the culture it instilled in me will stay on forever.

For SDEs target is paradise. I was working there during 2016-17 (not the tech team though). And by the way if you leave early from Target forget joining back ever again unless some manager really wants you.
Target is one of the most successful GCCs in Asia-pacific. We have gained the experience of building a place from there and built JCP, Lowe’s, Hudson’s, PepsiCo… the list goes on …
Basically the point is sit tight ..

I know people at TESCO and have seen them get hikes upto 100% also (at senior level also) so i would suggest not to let the opportunity go. Atleast give the interview and then you can either join or negotiate your current package accordingly.

If you’re from retail, atleast get an offer.
Although no stocks offered, TESCO pays well.
If you’re getting a good project, you’ll definitely grow as an SDE 3
But trust me, it will be challenging as well

I have cleared interview with Wipro and while uploading the documents i uploade document but they mentioned LOA & education certificate are incorrect so i re-uploaded them but again they mentioned LOA is incorrect.. so i connected with the person who sent me the link to upload the doc but no help from her.. i tried to open the link today (17th March) evening but the link was not opening... what will be the next step.. how can i upload it again.. So I have recently joined a startup in the EV space. It's a SPAC, so it's a crazy ride. I interviewed for a top HR job, but they offered me a second-in-command opportunity, and I took it. Overall, I love it. However, I recently got an opportunity to join crypto-NFT startup as a top HR. My current startup is well funded, sales could be better, but we just acquired a company to help us to progress with them. The leadership team is strong, but a bit on the boomer-ish side of things.

im 10 weeks into my contract as a PO at a large satelline/wireless provider (synonym: plate) and the company has offered to bring me on as an internal employee.

currently i am hourly contractor at a rate of $50/hr + 2k sign on

the salaried offer is for 104k ( $52/hr)/ no bonus

problem here is that i work 48-52hrs/wk & get paid overtime, so taking this offer would actually be a paycut by about $250-300/wk

I’m in discussions to become the GC of a mid size but international company that does ~$1 billion in annual revenue. Smallish legal department. They’ve asked for my comp expectations. I don’t have specific expectations but I want to be compensated at least market for a NYC based GC (which looks like cash comp of at least $300k plus bonus, etc). Keep getting approached by rival firms for ~50% salary increases in London. Raised it with my company and got a 5% raise. Don’t want to sound ungrateful but doesn’t scratch the surface of the underpayment of where I am, it’s well below market rates. Manager hinted at getting an offer which they could counter could help but, I can’t see them matching 45-55% I could get elsewhere. Like the work and culture here and salary isn’t everything, but unsure how to approach this. 26 YO with 2.5YOE.

At what point do you elevate your peer’s mistakes to managers? It feels like my teammates elevate each other frequently but I don’t like to get involved because it seems like tattling. Do managers value knowing who on their team is messing up in small ways?
