I have long covid (the fog is following me) and I have been off my meds for a few months (since I got sick). The fatigue + fog + rampant adhd + vertigo + tinnitus = Omg somebody help me. I am trying to find specialist doctors I can(not) afford and read insurance while I am dizzy and wildly inattentive/forgetful and overall off balance. 😭🤣 this is a joke right?? I feel under water literally and figuratively. Someone please laugh w/ me. 😬😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh man, that's a lot at one time. I really hope you can get it all worked out soon. Do you have a healthy primary care provider? They might be able to help you find the specialists you need.

like

I have maxed out my poor primary doctor. She has helped me a lot and now she kinda doesn’t know what else to do and so I’m just *stuck*.

I feel like someone waived a wand and went “boop! Now you dazed and confused.” All. The.time.

like

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this. As someone who's just getting over COVID and still experiencing the fog and vertigo, I truly empathize. Sometimes it's so frustrating when you feel like you're asking the right people for help but they can't help you. I know that in my area (NY) we have a post-covid clinic. Perhaps you can look for one by you?

helpful

I've had vertigo before but it was also from having a lot of fluid built up in my ears. I'm experiencing that now as the aftermath of covid but I'm praying it passes because it is definitely awful. Especially for someone who works in front of a computer 10 hours a day

Like I’m adding up what all got me here to this point and this is 👏🏻 bullshit.

My family mistreated me when I was younger, and now that I don’t live at home, they don’t call or bother to look for me, because frankly, I think they have a hard time admitting what happened - and will never apologize to me either. If I don’t call, or occasionally go see them during the holidays, we would never talk. Some of them are growing old (health-wise), and I’m scared this entire situation is just irreparable. Has anyone ever gone through anything similar? Any advice or thoughts?

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)

I am 31 and 19 weeks - just went for my anatomy ultrasound and the doc told me that my baby has an absent nasal bone which is a marker for downs. I did a NIPT test at 10 weeks and a NT ultrasound at 14 weeks, and both came back normal. I am super worried now that those are false positives and there’s a risk that my baby has downs. Any other moms out there with similar situations???

How tough is it to break into a FAANG PM role at mid-level if you have less prestigious experience? I have 10+ YOE in product, but some was at a tiny meh startup that fizzled out, some was in the digital wing of a large old healthcare org, and though my current role is GPM at a “name brand” tech company, it’s on the smaller side. Took LOA last year, multiple months. Recovered from burnout driven by long hours during covid. But feel like I'm now experiencing burnout in a different form. Don't feel drained but I'm just unmotivated to do anything in life and work. I don't want to eat, exercise, go places, or work. I don't want another break from work, I want to keep doing things (eg not so drained I want to take months off) but this seems like burnout and I don't know what to do.

I’m an associate media director making 108k in NYC and wondering if agency folks are seeing an annual salary % increase in times of Covid? In my last agency it was automatic, every year we would get an increase but not sure what the process is currently. Also I feel guilty and somewhat selfish to even ask since I know I’m very privileged in these times, but I’ve been putting in more hours since I’ve started wfh - 5% increase seems fair to me. Promotions/new hires have resumed now too.
TIA!
