I’m also looking for a referral for two forensic positions I applied for with EY and KPMG in the D.C. area. If anyone is interested, PM me.
Check FBIs LinkedIn. I saw some forensic accountant positions posted last night/today

You try to get in on a rotation? Easiest way in
I think you can try asking for a rotation or if you’ve done a large project with forensics resources on it I would recommend networking with them and see if there are openings in your office. I’ve worked on quite a few large CARES engagements this year and there were a couple of staff/senior that transferred to forensics that way.
A couple months late.. we were hiring pretty strong through about October. I project we’ll see another wave late summer, fall time frame. Depending on what new administration does, maybe more experience hires in April timeframe
Yeah unfortunately the COVID work is where the business is trending at the time. But forensics can be cyclical, eventually we’ll shift back to more investigations. Just a couple years ago we were up, up with investigative work. My advice like EY1 said if you want to be in forensics, come be a team player a couple years and the opportunities will present itself. The IFCS group is a pretty strong team of professionals.. speaking with those guys/gals they have plenty of talent and not looking to hoard folks that don’t want to do disaster recovery work.
