I have my First coaching session next week after my recent diagnosis (ADHD Combined Type). Anybody done this before? Best approach? How donI get the most out of this?

Every day of my life feels the same. The monotony of my job and taking care of the young kiddos is just the same over and over. Anyone familiar with PT, or previously coming off of shoulder and/or calf muscle injuries? Looking for some good strengthening exercises. I use to be a clear blue digital ovulation test advocate bc it took the guess work out of reading the results but it has gotten too expensive to justify so I ordered the Pregable strips (Amazon $12) + downloaded their free SmileReader app - game changer! Highly recommend!!

About to join KPMG Lighthouse in a couple weeks. Received an email about a KPMG lakehouse on campus event in Orlando. I think it is supposed to be an orientation event. How do you get STD approved for mental health? My PCP doesn’t see patients for mental health and referred me to psychiatrist but first available appointment isn’t for a month. Work is so busy they won’t let me take unpaid LOA without documentation.

My company is notorious for not giving raises unless you ask. My direct report lacks boundaries and has said things like “I haven’t gotten one so…”. There is no report above her anymore as he recently left. Do I meet with the CEO? Or send and email with my request for an increase? I do not trust my direct report to have my back or even take it to the next level for approval.

After my first HR round the recruiter decided to speak with seniors and find out if they will consider me for a senior position. (This took 2 weeks)

My 5.5mo puppy is sleeping a LOT - like awake for 45min and asleep for 3hrs or more. He doesn’t seem to want to play as much either - just crawls in my lap and falls asleep. Is this normal? The vet says he’s healthy but I worry.

All I want is to aggressively pay off debt, earn a bit higher paycheck, be more balanced and consistent and reliable, improve my health and take better care of myself, and not almost exclusively dread my job. And some time to socialize. These all seems fairly simple… but i am still struggling to accomplish this. It’s downright nerve wracking and frustrating.

Met a psychiatrist for the first time about my adhd and he ended up prescribing Zoloft and Xanax for now, thoughts on him prescribing so quickly ? I don’t want to take drugs just to take them

I'm pretty proud of the progress I've made when it comes to staying on task in my work life. What I'm having bigger issues with is transitioning from one thing to another. Ex..I'll go to pour a glass of water after finishing something, realize the trash needs to be taken out, realize I need to walk down to pick up my mail, etc. Any tips on making this easier?

I’ve had enough. I may or may not have ADHD but I damn think so, as well as people I’ve talked to about it. I know I am smart and can accomplish certain things/tasks, but I literally just can’t get my mind to it sometimes. It was bad in college and only got worse since I started working. How do I go about at least getting tested or what’s the the process? Thank you so much in advance.

I just found this bowl and I am really glad it exists. After a few years of managing my ADHD, the past few month have been really hard and I am suffering from anxiety for the first time since college because of it. Even just the few posts I have read have made me feel a little bit better.

I don’t know if this is just me, but I have SUCH a hard time putting my phone away. At work or at home I feel like I’m always checking it.

It’s definitely negatively affecting my sleep and can sometimes cut into my productivity at work.

Any tips for cutting down usage? I know the “don’t sleep with your phone by your bed” rule but I’m not there yet

Started on 20 my vyvanse about 1.5 years ago always taking weekends and vacations off. Lately it just hasn’t been enough and considering upping the dose but a piece of me wants to avoid this, any advice?

I recently switched to Strattera (had been on Adderall for 6 years) to see if it’d help my sleep issues. Been taking for 6 weeks total, almost 4 at the current dose. My focus isn’t too bad, but I’ve been feeling really… blah… and unwell later in the day and not as motivated overall. Also been having more obsessive impulses, though my anxiety seems to be better. Anyone else have this experience? Did it change over time?

I have been diagnosed with ADHD. I want to start medication but both me and my wife are worried about any potential side effects and most importantly developing dependency on the drug.
I have read many comments in this bowl about Addrell, Concerta and other medications. Can you guys please give me honest advise me with your experience on taking the medication?
