They worship warmth. The other day I caught my cat standing in front of the heater vent and just staring at it, while he was bathed in warm air.
Mine will lay on top of the vent if they’re really feeling it 😹
My cat watches candles intensely
One of mine loves the fireplace so much that he lays in front of it even if there isn't a fire. He tries to get us to start one by repeatedly leading us to it.

Common, mine does the same to the space heater with a fake fire in it. Just make sure they are not pyromaniacs worshipping the fire god.
