I have officially spent more time preparing updates for the partner on my project than on work for the client

But you still billed those hours to the client?

What about updates and trackers for senior client stakeholders they don’t understand are going to prevent you from doing the actual work they are paying you to do?

like

Updates for partners is client work. It may not be productive all the time, but it is still client work

Some teams I've been on literally could have produced 20% more analysis/content for the client if we weren't doing twice-weekly status updates. It's their money, they should spend it how they want I guess...

I spend 2 hours a day being productive and the rest of the time watching Netflix/Hulu/etc or napping/eating. Have been doing this for 3 months now and I continue to get positive feedback from everyone. I can do this for another year (duration of my project) and no one will say anything. Had to get that off my chest. Life is so nice/on easy mode these days 😬

I love my new client side job. But the west coast based team is not considerate of my time zone. I’ve been here four weeks with no improvement despite being vocal about it (within reason). Fed up. Need to vent. I’ve been an analyst for 2 years. I’ve been asking to be promoted for the past year. I’ve been managing work streams, managing other team members, delegating tasks to other analysts/senior analysts, etc. I was supposed to be promoted this past November and was told to try again for next May. A senior analyst on my team is leaving the project and my manager now wants to pass his work streams down to me, on top of the ones I am currently managing. Contd.

Isn’t overpopulation the root cause of almost all our problems, specifically things like climate change, lack of housing, and traffic?
