Who the f actually enjoys design anymore.. 😩
Hello, I've been advised to post my work in here to find short-term graphic design jobs. I'm currently learning how to become a mobile app developer so I'm looking for short missions to pay my bills while learning. So you can find my recent work on Dribbble dribbble.com/MentalEnergy and most of my illustrations here www.deviantart.com/lileedawn/gallery. Feel free to contact me for more information.

Many here like me grew up disadvantaged financially, but through education and mentorship found a pathway into a great career

It sounds like you have excellent foundational design and communication skills under your belt! Don’t be deterred by not having UX and UI experience; many resources are available online and in-person to build in those areas.
Imposter syndrome is a SOB, but rest assured, even the most experienced designers still feel it, even if only occasionally.
I’d suggest checking out various YouTube channels (and articles if reading is preferred) to help identify what it is about the UX discipline that you’re most interested in. Once you have an idea, you can search’s specifically for those specialities and the best resources for them and getting to where you want to be. Resources range anywhere from online courses, articles, and communities to bootcamps and high Ed programs if you choose to go in any specific direction.
Happy searching 🙂
Thanks. I’m feeling like my skill set isn’t needed. I’m close to finishing paying off my student loans and really don’t want to have to take out another $60k or more for a masters… although I’ve thought about it.
Your past sounds very much like mine!
I switched to UX design last year (did a bootcamp) and specialized in UX writing.
Turns out, a lot of my skills were transferable.
I now work 100% remotely for a tech company.
That’s very encouraging to hear. Thank you for sharing.
