I’ve handled multiple large fraud/theft cases against countless household name banks, insurance companies, etc. While some of their attorneys are reasonable and respectable, many are quite the opposite. Misrepresenting facts. Perjuring their clients. Misquoting case law. Essentially doing anything and everything to confuse and distract the court. It is amazing. They are quite good at it too. But I often wonder how do they sleep at night?

I’m a second year junior at a boutique firm. There is a male first year (who has been here longer than me bc I lateraled, he is not yet admitted to practice) also on the team. The female senior associate consistently assigns me the “grunt work” of note taking, updating the calendar etc. I wouldn’t have a problem doing this, I expect to a bit, but she always says it’s “the junior on the teams job.” Again, I don’t mind helping, but I’m not the junior on the team! He is! How do I handle this?

My four year old I don’t think really gets that women have jobs. I think this is mainly an artifact of the pandemic in that I have been on leave and she hasn’t been going out and about seeing people doing things. We try very hard to emphasize equality and ambition - her older sister doesn’t have this problem at all.
