How does this sound?
Working from home = working from bed.

Sounds like a painless path to the partnership?
..I'm stuck in a vicious loop of dispassionate & mediocrity drenched satisfaction
Good intent, poor messaging ^
Sounds like you just need to mix things up and make a move a move to a firm of equal caliber elsewhere within the MBBD. Let me know if you are considering a switch and I can refer you at Deloitte
D3 - that is kind of you considering OP will have a tough time getting into D without your referral. I question whether he is up to D caliber.
Troll sighting confirmed
Not shocked by this. There's a reason average tenure here is only around 2 years. It's time to figure out if it's time to push for what's next, or it's time to go
Want to switch jobs?
Find a good hobby outside of work. Im in the same boat but it's led me to really enjoy life outside of the lffice
Sounds like OP got into b school and is coasting until the summer
It's shocking to see that even people at McK feel the same way. Your job is already a dream for so many of us.
Join Deloitte. Their culture and attitude will make you run for life. You will start enjoying small things and even miss McK
I was the same, D5. Was a BA for 2 years and left for b school on my own. Not going back. OP I think thats a healthy thing to feel after 2 years, from my own experience and others.
That's how I felt after 3 years. Recently jumped ship looking to try something else. I could actually see myself going back, but couldn't get excited about it anymore unless I knew there wasn't something better out there.
On a side note: MBBD - this is really a thing? MBB-D??
Do a completely random study in something super uncomfortable (e.g., mine in Paupa). Totally hits the refresh button.
^ wanted to go to New Zealand or the US but the BA staffer in our office wasn't great :)
In my time, I did a super long study (not as far from a year as you might think), which was both the best and worst thing for me. It was a great study that I thoroughly enjoyed with the best people that I worked with at the firm, but after that study i lost all enthusiasm for everything else. My next study leaderships said I seemed "bored" -- and I was. I think it all kind of told me, get a regular job hopefully in something you are marginally interested in where you see the same people most days and there is some stability. So I did.
They have to pay us for a reason
^what are you doing now M4
