I have some spare cash lying around, how can I put it into retirement accounts? I know that I can’t write a check to 401k, and I’ve already maxed out IRA contribution for the year. Is taxable brokerage the only way to go? Really appreciate the advice here

Have you maxed your 401k contributions yet this year? If not, max your withholding and use the cash to tide you over while getting reduced paychecks. If you have already maxed, or can live on the reduced paychecks without needing the cash to tide you over, then yes, taxable brokerage.

I assume you mean HYSA, rather than HSA? Regardless, sounds like it's time for you to set up your own "retirement" account in a taxable brokerage. I know it's frustrating to run out of tax advantage, but you should be congratulated for saving enough to get there!
