Currently working in-house at a company with a small marketing team of 4 since 2020. My responsibilities have grown each quarter to the point where it’s hard to make time to get specialized in a few marketing and social media skills. I’m curious about moving roles but not sure how to choose a next path. Should I stay as a generalist and try to move up or gamble on a skill/interest and become more specialized? Not sure what’s better for long term career success.

Trying to transition into an experimental marketing/brand activation event role but nothing seems to stick how can I get into this industry? I’m still entry level currently right now I work in media planning and on the side I write articles for an online magazine surrounding things to do in NYC. I also work on the marketing for a small start up where I throw events. Every interview I go to says I need more experience how can I break into this industry?

Had received some joining bonus and it was written that it will be taken back if i leave the company within a year.

Have resigned last week so 10 months are completed but my last reliving date is after three months (NP) i.e after completing 1 year..
