Many #machinelearning algorithms, whether supervised or unsupervised, make use of distance measures.
Take k-NN for example, a technique often used for supervised learning. As a default, it often uses euclidean distance.
By itself, a great distance measure.
Knowing when to use which distance measure can help you go from a poor classifier to an accurate model.

Deloitte workload is more than Accenture
Variable bonus is better in Deloitte than Accenture
Trainings are more in Deloitte
Learning in Deloitte is better than in Accenture.
you should not take decision based on CTC in this case, rather what kind of atmosphere you want and much you can stretch. Deloitte is not a typical service based organisation in terms of their workload and culture.
Go with Deloitte
Am already just worried how will Accenture manage 7 lac employees. They might be layoff in future.. so better join Deloitte
By 5% yearly layoff
Deloitte without a second thought. The difference is marginal though, not worth considering.
Join Deloitte!
Compensation - Accenture might mention more on paper but with Deloitte you'll get better bonuses and better hikes. Deloitte also gives 25k as well being subsidy every year and the R&R are pretty good (a spot award pays 5k, an outstanding pays 30k).
Bonus - Deloitte pays 160-170% for a regular year (non pandemic, after pandemic)
Accenture says 27% but if you are outstanding you'll might get 20%.
WLB - it's relative to the project you are a part of. I never have worked more than 8 hours at D. Have friends at Accenture with 13 hours for 21 days straight.
Culture - Deloitte trumps Accenture
Learning - Deloitte Trumps Accenture
Exit opportunities - more you learn better The opportunity. Deloitte Trumps Accenture.
Any other point you have in mind?
Thanks buddy really helpful and your positive words.
go for Deloitte USI
Don’t fall for 27% variable pay at Accenture. They won’t give you even half of it.
Join Deloitte.
I could see most of them asked to take the Deloitte opportunity, I'm happy to take.
But at the same time, i see most of reviews from others feed, WLB is very bad in DUSI..we may need work more 13 to 16 a day and also in weekends. Is that really ture???? If yes how to manage that pain
You will have to make a choice: good wlb or good opportunities. Choose according to your priority. No company will provide perfect offer, we will have to make some compromise.
If you are willing to learn and grow, 13hrs wont be an issue.
In deloitte, the hikes and bonuses will be much higher compared to deloitte.
Even though Accenture pays you 50k more, this won't matter when you will get 1 lakh more bonusnin deloitte and atleast 5% more increment
Sir Go with Deloitte without any second thought.
You were already holding offer from Deloitte and still Accenture give you just 50k more than that.
Remember if you are not lazy.. then variable bonus of Deloitte will always be more than 10% ppl get even 20- 30% bonus is are good performers.
But in Accenture you will get max of 27% and it's rarely someone get it.. and always equal or less than that.
It is strange how you are just simply avoiding other people's comment asking about your yoe and tech stack. Not sure why you are not sharing the same but only going on asking more and more but not sharing anything from your side. It will surely not hurt to share that info with others so others can also get a better understanding about how deloitte and accenture are going around with hiring employees with that yoe and tech stack. It is ofcourse not mandatory to share that info but sharing that will surely help others and by sharing this info you can get better suggestions from other sharks regarding which choice to make.
First Apologies buddies. 🙂
Since you particularly asked,. Initially i thought we should not mention everything here, somehow they will track our data(recruiter/hr).. may its too silly thing in my mind.
But okay to share, as per ur comment it may help to other to take decision.
My experience:
Completing 8 year in consulting. Oracle apps.
Thanks buddy 😊
That CTC for 8 years experience is less. With the reason that you have mentioned for not sharing the information, as per that guess you are lying bro. Anyways if 8 years is true then if you have time you can search for better offers. All the best
Been a part of Accenture Oracle practice..the work is good but definitely as others mentioned learning will be more in Deloitte USI..Also, don't fall for the 0-27% variable. In very rare scenarios you will get full bonus. More importantly your tech stack is Oracle apps so the salary raise and bonus will be less for you than peers who are in cloud. Workload maybe 1-2hrs less than Deloitte but definitely it's not like you can just work 9hours and go away. By going with your offer you must have got AM in Accenture so your work won't be confined to just the project. You have to contribute to the Accenture Assets and help in RFPs.
Deloitte for sure
