I’d stay at the one that’s attached and not feel bad about it lol
As long as the nice one is within approved budget range why not ?

What is your firm’s policy?
100% the most expensive one.
Pick the nicest one. it's a peanut for Deloitte. You deserve it while working on this kind of job
Pay for the nice one yourself so you are the hero
A prior national practice leader for my group used to stay at a cheaper hotel and then walk 10 minutes when visiting our local office. Local office is connected to the much nicer hotel which is just $20 more expensive.
Traveling with him was a joy. In addition to the hotel price shopping, he’d insist on stopping to top off the rental car to avoid the service fee — even for a couple gallons.

In all fairness I do the rental car thing too. More for my hatred of rental companies than anything else
Usually expenses are billed to the client separately so I wouldn’t worry about blowing any budget either

Was in the exact situation with my client. We always stayed in the very nice hotel. Out excuse in the winter was that its walkable and we dont need to go out. Winters were brutal in this city. Negative 50 one week
Chicago?? 😂
Nice one 💯
Definitely stay at the nicer one!!
Please stay at the more expensive one
That $100 is what, 15 minutes of chargeable time? Stay at the nice one my friend.
I would even order room service. Definitely at the nicer hotel. Enjoy it bruh
Ball out bro
Way I see it: I’m there at the convenience of my employer and client. I shouldn’t be discomforted or inconvenienced as a result. I’m not going to go out of my way to be lavish, but I’m also not going to go out of my way to save you a buck.
When your billing rate is several hundred dollars per hour, someone is paying enough to be able to afford it…conversely, someone is being paid enough to be able to afford it. Unreasonable to be a spendthrift, but also unreasonable to be left on the short end of that deal. So yeah, that hotel seems perfectly reasonable to me.
Other rule: if it’s within compliance, it’s within compliance.
Nice one. Who cares😅😂🤣
Where is the rest of the team staying? I always think about how I’d spend my $. Go from there including whether the more expensive hotel meets the firms guidelines.
10000% stay at the nicer, attached one. Enjoy the luxuries since you probably will have to work 60 hrs a week and only get paid 40!
