Specialized in tax accounting meaning it’s the national tax group? Or is it more like you prepare tax provisions one after another? Depends what you want out of your career. Generally ASC740 provides the most opportunities down the road, both in industry and in PA. But it is the kind of work that will you awake at night, especially as you move up the ranks and are the final sign off.

If you go with B you get to grow your network and not be confined. So seems like that would be the best choice for you.

The problem with a tax accounting only group is that you might be busy all year round

I got interviewed at KPMG and got positive feedback. I am offered consultant position and was asked to share my documents with expected salary. Question for EY moms - my husband and I are thinking about starting a family soon, so I was looking up the parental leave policy to see what my options are. I know some firms have clawback clauses that require you to come back to work for a specific period of time or else you have to pay back the salary you received while on leave, but I couldn’t find anything similar in the EY policy. Does this mean EY doesn’t have a clawback clause for parental leave, or is it just hidden away somewhere? TIA!

What is the best consulting firm for public service work? I’ve been at Accenture for a year now since graduating college. To me, the compensation seems very competitive, and there are a fair number of PS clients, but I don’t know how it compares to other firms. Wondering what else is out there in the way of public service/impact consulting.
