I have two opportunities I’m considering. One that’s a director position with a large holding company doing what I do now. The second is a well known vendor DSP. Both similar in building teams and bringing partners up. Both pay is similar. But going vendor side (not sales) would that hinder my path on the media/agency side if I were to take it? Director at large ad Agency or Director at Vendor DSP.

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Anyone know much about the start up scene in E Africa? I hear a lot of general talk about how it’s ‘booming’ but can’t find much information online. I’m in a weird position where I’m trying to switch into tech but am moving to Kampala for the next year. Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

Hi all, was hoping for clarity on offers from FANG/Tier 2 tech I received recently. Base pay is still within range of 130-150K, but equity components have dropped dramatically. For reference, for similar positions, I was receiving grants of 150K - 200K over 4 years for data analyst positions (4-5 YOE) in Aug’21-Feb’22. For personal reasons, I did not accept these offers. Now the equity grants are coming in like 50-70K over 4 years. Is this market wide for non SWE/PM roles due to stock market?

Today i got my variable bonus of 10k, i get 59k inhand every month in which 2k gets deducted as tax, today along with the bonus of 10k I got 67k inhand and tax deducted is 4.5k. I'm kinda lost. Can someone pls explain y this?

Which is best to join between PWC AC Bangalore with permanent wfh and NTT Data business solutions with hybrid work. Salary is almost same : NTT data - 24 LPA fixed and no variable. Where as PWC 21 LPA fixed with upto 20% variable. YOE is 7 years in SAP SD functional consultant.
