Working Moms

I have two teenagers in the house, both very active in sports and at school. When did you stop being the central coordinator of their social and activity calendars? I find it increasingly overwhelming to be the one to coordinate their ever-changing schedules. Does it get better when they begin driving? Just trying to see when the light at the end of the tunnel is coming! Any experience or advice is welcome ☺️

It does get better when they can arrange their own transportation. My kids were both late starters when it came to driving, tho. For me, it got better when I told their other parent (my husband, in this case) I needed him to step up, too.

So I don't have a teenager, but when I was about fourteen, my mom started easing us into the policy that if we didn't put something into her calender/planner, it didn't exist. Now it's even easier with calender invites - fifteen years ago, she was using a paper planner. It only took one or two failed activities where I hadn't coordinated with her so I had to scramble for a ride. After that, I got really good about scheduling with her. I'm sure it was a necessity. She was a single mom of five kids, born over a period of six years.

Junior associate here with very little work. I reached out to the assigning partner, but I haven’t heard back. I’m struggling to motivate myself to seek out more work by talking to other partners or coming up with ideas for articles and other non-billable work. Instead I find myself reading books, watching movies, and generally just kicking back and enjoying the free time. That said, I feel guilty that I’m not working a ton like I used to. I’m also worried that my lack of pro activity when it

Berlin tech salaries: what would be the range for a senior role with management responsibilities in the industry role requiring at least 5 YOE. I am trying to evaluate if it is worth pursuing a potential opportunity as I heard cost of living, especially housing costs, is on a steep increase. I would think of the role as Manager equivalent in the Big4.

I am in my first HRBP role. It has been a role I’ve been wanting to focus on and get in to but never got the opportunity to do so. My imposter syndrome has kicked in, especially since it’s all remote too.  I was wondering if anyone can give some advice on how to build that trust and relationship piece with managers to be able to succeed? I feel like my fear is holding me back and I am so afraid of failing again.
