In all honesty, you are fine. Tell Company A you are in very late stages with another Company so you would appreciate if they can expedite as much as possible. They will do so if they can and really need you. Do not tell Company B anything right now. Just stay in holding pattern til early-mid February. At that point you should know whether Company A will move forward. If they do or are going to, then evaluate whether you want to renege (understanding that you’re probably blacklisted from company B). If they don’t move forward or you don’t know, then no harm no foul and you stick with original

This is the right approach

Interview with A, don’t say anything to B. Wait to put your two weeks notice till you get further in the interview process. You watch out for you.

like

No you don’t work for them yet. Continue to interview

RENEGE

Don’t renege. You don’t have to say anything to B and you shouldn’t get caught without a job because A didn’t work out, you reneged on B, and already put in your notice with your current company. My brother worked for a new company for one week while he finished interviewing with his dream company. He quite after the first week when he got his dream offer.

can someone please advice how to handle the situation? I talked to firm A’s recruiter today and did not mention I have a signed offer honestly because i don’t even know how to handle the situation. Tips? I would me immensely appreciate.

also did i mess up by not telling anything to the recruiter about the accepted offer? How do i even manage? help!!!!

I had a similar situation back in college. Got an offer from A, but wanted to go to B. I decided to do the right thing by forfeiting A while interviewing with B. Paid off in the end, but I would’ve done the same thing regardless, just to have the peace of mind. OP - you do you though. I’m sure you have bills to pay and maybe people to support. Just figure out what’s most important to you and go with it. No ragrets, not even a single letter.

OP: Speak with firm A and convince them to move faster with the interviews and hiring decision. Companies understand that you may be interviewing with other firms and/or have to respond to offers by other firms.

Also, if firm B gives you a signing bonus, don't blow it all in case you get the offer from Dream Co A so you can pay it back if terms of offer require a certain amount of time working for them. I have a friend that got a job at his target company after working a few weeks somewhere else and had to negotiate a repayment plan.

I know someone in a similar situation, she accepted offer from firm B and then continued interviewing and when she got an offer from dream firm A, she just let firm B know after accepting firm As offer. She’s now happily working at firm A

Can (should?) I name my clients in an (industry) job interview when I talk about my past experience?

My brother is applying to medical school, and apparently being AAPI/Asian/Indian yields one being bucketed into an over represented minority, so would need far more merit than means and medians, due to the high performance of the bucket. I started wondering, throughout my brother and my life, if being Asian had ever had any help- in my childhood, my Asian friends were cut throat with everything- volunteering ops or internship/family help. Brother made a comment that he wished he wasn’t Asian

I’ve been passively looking for jobs but zero luck, I only want to leave for the right fit. Big 4 here so feel my brand won’t auto get me an interview like mbb/t2
