I have worked with really amazing recruiters in the past but lately I am coming across a few below average recruiters...even from really reputable/large legal recruiting companies.

Is this happening because there are so many attorneys out there that the recruiters don't have to cultivate relationships and be professional?

I must be too old school for the new normal of ghosting in recruitment. It is a sad shame, but a reality.

I've worked with large reputable recruiting companies several times and had no luck whatsoever. Usually, after the initial call, I never hear back. I recently switched sides and worked for a smaller company doing recruiting. I was impressed by the company and personalized level of service you can get from a smaller agency. I didn't end up staying because I got a job offer from a firm and couldn't turn it down. Happy to pass along the recruiter info if you pm me.

I hate to hear these experiences. Rest assured, not all recruiters are like that....

I think every industry has its good and bad players. I, for one, am honest to a fault, which some may say doesn’t serve me. But I can’t lie, so here we are.
