I haven’t been feeling good about myself lately. Been depressed about my weight, my job search, and my health but I’m going to try to make a change. Today I decided to start being healthy again. I went to the gym this morning, got 8 hrs of sleep last night, and even made plans to hang out with friends this weekend. It’s not much but it’s a start and hopefully the beginning of a consistent and successful journey. To anyone going through the same thing, it will get better! We have to push through❤️

Just wanted to post this to encourage anyone dealing with depression or anxiety. Everyday is a battle but even the smallest achievements are still achievements. Congrats to anyone that got out of bed this morning, took a shower, logged into work, talked to friends, or ate a full meal when it felt like any of that was damn near impossible. If anyone needs an open ear, pls feel free to DM! We’re all in this together.

I love that! I started off using Lofi Girl music on YouTube before getting a noise machine. I think focusing on the sounds instead of my thoughts when trying to fall asleep has definitely helped a lot

I am seriously struggling with my mental health right now. Like to the point where I cannot focus at work and feel so drained and burnt out and I’m not getting anything done….but I have SO much to do and feel like I just have to keep going. Has anyone else felt this way? What do you do in this situation? Do I be vulnerable with my managers and tell them what I’m experiencing or will that hurt my career or reputation? I just feel so stuck

I would be upfront with your team. If they are reasonable and compassionate people, they should understand and this shouldn’t hurt your career in anyway. They can’t help you if they don’t know what’s going on. You don’t have to give them too much information if you’re not comfortable, but just express that your mental health is suffering a bit and you may need some time off to adjust to the changes you’re going through at the moment. If you have a good relationship with your team you could even let them know that you’re dealing with burnout and see if it’s something other members of your team are dealing with as well. Have you considered taking a LOA? It may help and give you the break you need to relax and experience life away from work. I feel this way all the time, especially lately. I’ve had to force myself to put myself first because our lives cannot revolve around work. We have to take care of ourselves so we can live long and reap the benefits of all the hard work we’re putting in right now. I’m more than welcome to DM and chat if you need any advice or just an ear to vent! I’m going through the same thing and I know how difficult it is ❤️

I started back on my depression meds again. I have to say thanksgiving for me was rough - my friend had gotten killed in a car accident on thanksgiving, my step dad passed away, and other stuff. The thing about these meds is they totally kill my appetite.

I have chronic health issues and I’m severely depressed. I can’t even get myself to work anymore. If I don’t quit, I’m in serious danger of being fired. Has anyone tried getting out of their lease and been successful? I’ve been isolating out of the city for 3mo and will be here at least another 3mo, if not more. I work in healthcare administration but was a medic for years. You learn so much about innovation but seems like most health systems just want people to fall in line and just do what's always been done. I would take a pay cut to work for a system that's actually trying to do something disruptive in the Industry as opposed to just using buzz words in ppt.

Have been running for the last few years and consistently get “dead feet” feeling after 3-4 miles. Feet go somewhat numb and I stop and stretch to relive the pain. Have tried a few different types of shoes (on cloud / altra / Nike) to no avail. Even tried the loosening of my shoes. Any advice? I’m in good shape and can cycle for 40-60 miles at a time so endurance isn’t the issue, it’s my feet. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions!!!

I have received offer from Accenture mentioning joining date is sep 22, previously I told them 3 month notice period, but later I got to know that my notice period is of one month asi was in probation.
