I haven’t drank in a month and I genuinely feel good everyday. I lost my anxiety, I’m in a great mood, and I’m actually looking forward to work tomorrow. Haven’t felt this way in a long time.

Good for you! Also on that journey, been nearly two months, and I feel better than I have in years. Eating better, working out every morning, more focused at work, and more present for my family. Booze had a strong hold over me for longer than I've ever admitted to myself, and it's life-changing to feel like I've broken through to the other side and toward moderation (if / when the time comes that I choose to reintroduce the occasional drink). Raising a glass of seltzer to you, and everyone else, trying to make a tough change. Keep at it if you're struggling, it's worth it!

Definitely a love-hate relationship with the booze here. When I take a month off from time to time I realize that life might actually be better without alcohol, but I have always decided to strive for balance rather than totally quit. I could see that one day changing

Same here my friend! used to be a heavy drinker, sober for 5months! Always motivated :)

Amazing how Sunday scaries are gone when you aren’t dealing with lingering anxiety from a hangover Friday or Saturday

I’ve cut back and noticed a difference. I love drinking, and have always done so responsibly, but as I get older, it takes a bigger toll on me

Weaning off worked for me - sleeping a lot better.

I take a month off from drinking twice a year.

I feel so much better.

I hate and love that it makes me feel
so much better.

This is so often how I feel. I love that I feel good & I hate that I let myself get to a point where I don’t always feel that great.

Well done!!! I was a huge drinker and partier for years . . . Never missed an agency happy hour or outing. My work sucked and my anxiety was at a ten. I will have 8 years sober in August. It’s the best decision I ever made. Keep it up!

Six years sober, and it continues to be the best decision I’ve ever made — personally and professionally. Keep coming back!

Proud of you.

I quit drinking 6 months ago. Best decision I ever made

Respect!!

Did the same about 20 years ago and never looked back. Instant and permanent boost, personally and professionally

Very similar for me. My anxiety persists, but my sleep and patience is MUCH better. Have pretty much cut it out this year, and thinking about staying that way.

I love not drinking. Everything is better. Yay us.

Me too!!

Keep it up partner. I went from having 20 drinks a week to about 20 a year. Lost weight, felt focused, improved my mood, wake up daily feeling better.

I rarely drink and the anxiety is still strong.

Oh shut up. Your positivity is killing my buzz. I need another drink

I limit my drinking to once a week and I need something to justify it (e.g a celebration, goodbye party, or clients in town) and it’s helped curb my drinking significantly. Often times i only end up drinking 1-2 a month?

I recently found out that my direct report makes more than me. When I brought it up with management, my responsibilities, contributions, and skills were explicitly recognized as more valuable, but they also told me that this happens to many people at the ACD level. I am a woman of color and the only manager at my company who is currently experiencing this, but they have assured me it is not a case of discrimination but an "oversight." There is not plan in place to address the disparity—opinions?

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like you always need to make more $? I had a non-traditional path where I didn’t start my true career until I hit 30. Now, 7 yrs later I’m making $255,000 with my full-time gig and $55-60k net profit with my side hustle. When I was younger, I thought six figures was a lot of $. Idk, maybe it’s bcuz my parents are poor and I feel like I need to support them and also with inflation, sixfigs doesn’t seem like that much anymore…..
