EY UK Director has had several calls selling culture (diversity and work life balance). Is there actually a substantive emphasis on this by EY? Or are 50+ hour weeks quite common? I suspect it's going to be quite team dependent/ project dependent, and therefore a gamble in any case. Thanks for any perspectives.

P&C focused people: What do you do to find success cross-selling life policies? I mostly sell P&C off internet leads. Most are not the ideal client for my company but I take care of them like I would anyone else. I do okay but not great with life after having the client for six months once I move them into a preferred policy. That move saves them enough to make life doable coupled with established trust. I’ve been told just to quote the auto and life together initially but it feels “off” to me.

I am 1 of 19 Designers at a mid sized firm out of NYC. All Designers on the team except for me are only allocated to 1 client project. I’m currently allocated at 125% of my time and on 3 client projects. I’m not being supported on my current project. Certain team members don’t respond to my messages/e-mails, but respond to others. I’m experiencing a coldness towards me, but I’m new to the firm, so they don’t know me and I’ve tried my best to be friendly and helpful. My Line Manager displays similar behavior, but is sometimes nice. It’s weird. I’ve raised this to my Counselor and he thinks that it’s simply a poor fit and not my fault. This probably sounds bad (based on my title) but I am looking for a referral for a new job. 17 YOE with 10 of them at a tech vendor and 7 in "consulting". I even did a stint as an Interim CIO for a large midwestern health system. I have been stuck on the staff augmentation side of "consulting" for too long and just can't do it any more. You want bodies, we got bodies is the mantra. I want to make a difference. 200K TC would be great but honestly, anything to make me feel alive again.
