Hi 🐠! Im current at EY in a consulting group that does not focus on deals, but have completed few due diligence type engagements. We focus mostly on ODD (Operational Due Diligence) for private equity firms. I really want to make it into IB. I have an interview for a Valuation and Opinions Role. Would that help in transitioning in as an IB Analyst? I would have a substantial pay cut (100K to 85K - excluding bonus). My current experience has not been seen as valuable by recruiters.

I can’t stop feeling so behind all the time. It seems like every one of my peers doesn’t have to worry about student loans, car insurance (paid by their parents still) etc. I keep thinking about how if I didn’t have all these bills I’d maybe have some savings that I could be proud of. Currently A2 making 65K in HOL and I feel like I’ll never be able to save up for a down payment or wedding or anything. Just feeling discouraged.
