I haven’t slept in my bed for over 3 weeks. When I go to my bed, I can’t sleep. I need TV to keep my mind from racing, so I keep falling asleep on the sofa, good sleep and stay there all night.

Have you tried white noise to help you sleep? I have a white noise app on my phone and I turn it on before I go to bed, the app has a timer to shut off after an hour and 90% when I use the app, I am asleep before it turns off. Works well when traveling too, since I always have my phone with me.

I need the tv too but I just use my laptop to watch Netflix. Have you tried that?

Have you tried exercising? I had the same.thing a few years ago, and the only thing that worked for me was running. Found it quietened the mind.

Put the tv in your bedroom

Read a book in bed instead?

Try melatonin. It'll help reset your circadian rhythm.

Manager made it clear he isn’t happy with how I’ve been doing some of my work lately. His messages to me instantly brought up a whole mental can of worms. I felt myself physically having a panicked reaction, and I realize it’s bringing up issues I had with a past boss. How do I get past this? I have journaled, changed jobs, etc., but these same types of (micro)managers are everywhere, and I can’t keep quitting and moving agencies.

Deadlines can induce anxiety attacks for me. I worked through the weekend and just woke up to a (nice!) email from the client asking about progress. We're not going to hit deadline. This caused an all-out anxiety attack at 6:30 am and now I have to somehow get myself together and work.

How can I have a healthy relationship with deadlines? That "good and done is better than perfect" saying is nice, but expectations are very high. I just want to stop feeling this way. Therapy helps, kind of.
