Haha, same experience, except I hadn’t heard the horrible things, so I was completely blindsided.
1. Just know that the experience is truly invaluable.
2. Reset your expectations and know that the discomfort you feel is actually you learning and growing.
3. Every project has a cycle: Ignorance > Discovery > Confusion > Overwhelm > Stress > Breakthrough > Deliver > Relief.
4. You got into consulting, so you can probably get into just about anything else. We are all free to quit (or take a leave of absence) at any time. Life is too short to hate it, but don’t pull the ripcord too early.
5. You’re almost certainly young, so be grateful for the opportunity and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Humility and gratitude go a long way towards make life enjoyable, no matter the circumstances.

Just quit and do something else
Feel the same way. Start doing some LinkedIn searches of the types of jobs out there and see what you like then revamp your resume and LinkedIn profile !
I’m in the same boat friend. I joined a company knowing everyone advised heavily against it. Sucked in because of pay. Now I’m back on the job hunt. It’s really hard. But I try to schedule out some time either in the AM or later at night to search/apply to roles I think I would truly enjoy more. I learned the hard way to not accept a job just because you want to get out of your current one.
What’s your job? You can likely find another job relatively easy if you are coming from Big4/Acc/MBB.
You can always find a way out. Make a list of things you like in a job, things you want in a job, things you are good at and look for roles that fit these areas. No job will tick every box but the more the better
