I just got an email from a recruiter from Google!

He said that the position is in the Bay Area or New York. I haven’t replied the email. I don’t think we can move to those cities, but I don’t want to lose this opportunity. Does anyone know if Google does remote jobs within US?

McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Hey everyone -
Not the exact right bowl, but looking for advice/referrals for a close family friend trying to break into ESG/climate change/sustainability consulting.
They have ~7 YOE in finance (mostly junk debt, some S&T) and 20 YOE in development banking at an IGO (think World Bank, doing everything from public debt offerings, infrastructure, etc. all w heavy ESG/compliance requirements).
Thanks for the help!

Hi, have you had your resume looked or revised?
Hello! I have had my resume revised by three people but if you would also be open to revising it, I would be really grateful and I appreciate as much feedback as I can get😊
Hi! I’m looking to transition into what you are doing and pursue a certificate for either Project Coordination or Project Management. Mind if I ask how you transitioned from banking into Project Coordination and did you start at entry level? Thanks in advance 😊
Hello! Yes, I started with an entry level role as a project coordinator. Most of the skills that are needed are soft skills and some project management tools like Asana, JIRA, Confluence and MS project are good to have. You can complete quick courses on those tools. Bare in mind, those entry level roles will not pay much (around $50K CAD) but it’s a start! Sometimes Trello and Miro boards are good to know as well especially for smaller project teams and they’re great for retrospectives in an agile environment.
As for the CAPM, I highly recommend it. I finished learning the content and I am just doing practice questions now. All in all, I really enjoyed the course because it heightens your knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and techniques (which is especially helpful if you are still in an entry level position). You can DM me if you need any more information or assistance.
