Do you live in Boston or nearby towns? I live in the Lexington-Arlington area and have been LOVING the Minuteman Bikeway (Alewife station to Bedford). Bike the whole way every Saturday before the quarantine.
Oh cool! I’ve seen some people bringing their bike on the Redline train, so I guess they do come to suburb for quieter/less crowded paths.
There's plenty here because of the PMC! You'll find people training all the time for it.
The Boston area is great for commuters but really not great for serious cyclists. I feel very safe wherever I rode but have a hard time finding roads where I can do a 20 min effort without having to stop.
The roads get better out by Lexington, Concord, etc, but if you are in eastie might be tough (I guess you can go north towards Salem?)
I'm still trying to figure the good roads out myself, only moved here about a year ago but these are my initial thoughts.
