Seeing many of the salaries posted in this bowl, I am extremely eagered to transition from the federal government. Any ideas and/or tips? I started as a student intern and I have transitioned into a specialist roal. This position requires me to be a jack of all trades and the pay maxes out at 87k. The federal government uses an old metric pay system called the GS scale that requires us to be within grade at minimum 52 weeks. I'm tired of waiting to get what I was promised/owed.

My mother worked at night so I'd go to a babysitter at night and then go to school from there. I shared my babysitter's teenaged daughter's bedroom (along with 3 other kids who I don't remember if they were other night babysitter kids or the grandchildren of the babysitter.

I set up my boss to take on a client that I planned to steal from her. She thought she was using me but I was using her. When she asked me to prepare statements of work, I drafted it with my resume in mind. When she asked me to set pricing, I priced it at my desired salary. When she pawned the work off to me, I nonchalantly took point. Then slowly and surely, I made myself indispensable to the client. I can’t wait to tell her that the foundation’s offer is priced above her salary. Checkmate.
