Hi Fellow fishes, I had an hr discussion with amdocs and during salary negotiation they told we can't give more than 11 lpa, they told it's the last offer and didn't negotiate at all. My current CTC is 7 lpa and YOE: 3 years. How can I renegotiate with them. Will they not process my offer letter if I ask them to reconsider? P.S. : I really want to join amdocs. Amdocs

Hello OP,
Thank you for your help. I have got a Facebook TPM interview lined up. Would you mind sharing some tips or what to expect?
(for some reason I couldn't DM you. So can you DM me and I'll try to reply or give me your burner, please? šš½)
Sorry my response is probably too late, but Iāve never interviewed for PM roles in tech. If theyāre similar to DS then itās partly product sense, partly coding (SQL/R/Python), and partially stats/probability. Hope it worked out for you!
Also as stated in another response, Iāve found FB interviews to be more about being correct/quick since the questions themselves are not too difficult.
Feel free to ask about compensation, interview process/difficulty, how I got the interview, wlb/culture etc
Did the interview process at Spotify stand out compared to the others?
I think youāre way more aggressive/sarcastic than me? Also what opinion am I trying to seek? Iām pretty well informed on the role as Iāve interviewed for it in my undergrad as well(itās not ML/Data Mining heavy at all itās called DS, Analytics for a reason. If you want to make algos and get a PhD in CS then sure go for DS, Core but thatās not what me and most people here are interested in).
Iām gonna take a crazy leap here and guess these are not high paying roles. When folks talk these exits they talk offers of 350k minimum total comp and I know those uber offers were probably under 100k based on how cheap they are.
Plot twist: BCG1 got rejected by the <100K Uber role
Why would you do that to yourself...
As mentioned most of these I did not apply to myself. I only applied 3 times to positions on LinkedIn. I responded to recruiters that DMed me for positions that I could possibly be interested in and agreed to interview, which is why the roles were so varying. I myself only targeted Data Science in tech but thatās not exactly easy to land and I wanted to keep other options open.
How the heck did you get an interview at Spotify? Iāve applied for probably 40 jobs there over the last year and have never gotten a response
I didnāt apply, someone I know on the team told his manager to interview me haha
Also for anyone interested, you can DM me for recruiter emails with the firm(s) youāre interested in!
What was the role type at Uber? And did you apply online or have a referral? How long until you heard on an interview? TIA!
Just going through the presentation and answering questions
Tell me more about black rock, how did you get it, what their offer was, everything. And whatās your background
I also got this through a recruiter DM. My background is tier 2, 1 yoe, engineering bachelor and masters from an ivy. Process was call with hiring manager then 2 rounds of on-site interviews with 5 interviews each with members of the team (10 total). All behavioral and no casing/technical (ie excel, sql etc). It was closest to finance interviews where they drill you and pressure test you with random facts. For instance I got asked the exact number AUM of BlackRock. I donāt even know if it matters if you answer correctly because I was pretty far off when I googled it later and they still asked me back for the next round. Comp was ~100K base and the role was āAssociate, Analytics Advisoryā
You mention you were contracted through LinkedIn often. What does your LinkedIn look like? Do you have lots of details about your responsibilities at previous roles/jobs or do you just have time worked and title?
My LinkedIn I donāt think is anything special. I have the open to opportunities marked though for recruiters to reach out. As I mentioned, my background is in engineering and I had a pretty high GPA (I graduated magna cum laude) at an Ivy and did my Masters with my undergrad in 4 years, which could be why big tech firms reached out.
In terms of specifically what my LinkedIn looks like, I have descriptions in bullets for my internships and no description for my consulting experience (as I mentioned I only have 1 yoe full time).
What kind of consulting projects have you worked on to date?
Mostly FS and modeling type projects. Like I said I was an engineer, so I tended to get staffed on more quantitative projects. Iāve had projects that were purely coding and 0 client interaction

This was the email to protest the ban, which basically explains the situation. However, I do not wish to discuss further these events nor do I want anyone else to on this bowl. Thank you in advance.
Can't believe someone reported you. Haters gonna hate but congrats on your success!
I left for a reason haha...but thank you!! šš¼
Which one did you pick? What were the roles at all these firms
Havenāt decided yet. Facebook, Spotify and DoorDash were DS. Yext was Data Analyst (BI group). Uber and Lyft were Operations. JPM and Cap One were strategy and BlackRock was their internal consulting group.
What role did you interview for at DoorDash? What was the process like? If there was a case, what did the case entail? What was your overall impression of DoorDash?
Thank you!!!!
Got it, thanks for the insight!
Did you use any resume writing or editing services?
Did you have referrals to all those companies?
No to resume writing, although my resume skews pretty technical for a consultant (undergrad and masters in engineering). I had referrals to Spotify, Yext, and Facebook. The most common way I got interviews was actually DMs from recruiters on LinkedIn.
What's your offer to interview ratio? And yoe!
Offers at 3/9. I also canceled some interviews and didnāt go through with all of them (DoorDash, Lyft). YOE 1 + Masters of Engineering
MBB?
Tier 2
What market are looking for jobs in? Bay area?
All NYC, which limited my options. Thereās a lot more opps if youāre flexible on location since NYC is super competitive and does not have that many openings.
Can you talk to the style and difficulty of the FB DS technical?
I had lyft technical for Data Analyst and was given a database and a sheet of questions, they told me to answer the questions and then just left the room.
Had interviews at some startups- technical was only for screening round and was leetcode timed challenges online, Python and SQL depending on role
No Iāve never applied to Google, Iām too scared. šš Iāve heard their interviews are hard and the process takes a super long time. Most of my interviews only took from contact to offer 2-3 weeks when Google can take up to 6 months. Iāve been trying to optimize for easiest interview for best job and didnāt think Google was worth my time to prep for
What was your impression of Lyft operations? Team? Culture? What range does comp fall under?
