How do you for sure if big 4 is not for you?
Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Welcome to B4 lol. Don’t worry in busy season you get more work.
There will be a moment in the near future where you will wish to be in the position you are now. I know it can be frustrating if you look at your peers, but don’t worry. Once you get a role on a client engagement, the work will be recurring. All a matter of time…
Enjoy it for now. It is the holiday and everyone is on vacation mode. Things will probably pick up in Jan. You can ask your counselor or supervisor to put you on their engagements.
Service lines are busy at different times and produce different work. For example, federal tax tends to be high volume compliance work resulting in higher utilization.
Stop worrying. Take the extra time to read up and skill up. Nobody give AF about your utilization before busy season.
don’t worry you’ll get there. i was on the same boat and until now I see other associate who started about the same time as I did and got no project & others who has full schedule. reach out also to your resource manager. i kept asking for projects and was always told to just enjoy this moment cause you’ll never be back at this slow again. lol
Happy to refer you
Just enjoy. You’ll be reminiscing in about a month or two
Don’t worry, it’ll pick up. In ITS, we are typically doing some planning projects at year end if you’re desperate for work, but unless you want to be working on Christmas I would hold off until the new year!
