Whereโs the lie
Hi fishes,
I'm in a non technical role and trying to switch to testing profile. I have knowledge in Java, selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Postman. I've been trying to switch but companies are considering me as fresher and providing package less than my CCTC(4lpa,4 yoe). I got selected in one company but they're not sending OL. It will be really helpful if someone can refer me in your company.
Need this switch badly due to less CTCC.

In my previous company , my manager used to call me sir - whenever there was some arguments / discussion or different point of view ๐. He used to call me by my name under normal circumstances ๐๐

Can totally feel that, I do the same with my staffs when I get really pissed because of them but want to control myself somehow, lol ๐ฌ
On my first day at my service line training was told to refer them by their name and not by sir or mam... Might differ probably.

Its just the habit they follow after coming out of college, probably they are new from college so needs time adapt to change

A manager cannot possibly be out from college!?
In EY there is no culture of referring managers by sir or mam, just like in all MNCs you have to call some one by name. Sometimes when you have freshers and just out of college they refer seniors as sir , mam but as time goes they too learn
No
Even to parner I used to call his/her name instead of sir madem
No, that's not a company wide practice. May be the team you have joined is practising it.
Nope....we even call Partners by thier name. Its not EY culture.

Well, contrary I felt that using short names were norm mostly & it wasn't just restricted to managers, counselor, partners but everyone else does that. It's completely okay when indicating short names so as to make the name list remembered easier. However "Sir" as a title is completely unprofessional if you're getting it as much so often in EY GDS. Haven't gotten across that so far, tho!
Don't do that. Address everyone by their first names
Not true at all. Not practiced in the firm. I was referred to as 'sir' by my senior manager a couple of times. In general, everyone is addressed by their first names including leadership
It's regularly licking tactic and is totally unprofessional but what I have noticed is seniors don't even discourage it to stop it.
How many days EY took to release the offer letter?

For me it took only 1 week after salary discussion.
