I just accepted an offer at another big4 and I feel so blessed to be making $130k in LOCL as a 23 year old with less than 1.25 YOE.

And I find it funny that I'm gonna be "senior" consultant/associate at my age and YOE. I don't know jack shit, and will completely understand if my clients/senior peers don't give me any respect at all.

Thank you covid and the great resignation for this wonderous and hilarious opportunity.

All the millennials are super nauseous reading this right now… happy for you all but I remember thinking “if I just make $100k by 30, I am going places”. Made it by 29 and thought I was on top of the world… 🙄 but to be fair, I am now at about 500% of that in 6 years so I can’t be too salty

like

Nice - 500k because of vesting RSUs right?

For those of you thinking we have it rough…. WE ARE ALL ON OUR OWN PATH, I took 7 years total between my undergrad + Masters to end up in IT compliance and am now in Consulting. I didn’t start working until I was 25, and have $125k+ of student loans (not even a MBA). I make $100k base and you know what, I’m on my own timeline. You all are too; let’s just enjoy the time with our friends and family

Yass absolutely.

Similar story - 26 with 3 YOE and got hired as an Asc (w/o an MBA) making $185k + bonus in a LCOL. Best part is I didn’t have to take on the b-school debt like so many others I know.

Praise the great resignation

What’s an ASC?

33 old here making 100k 🤪

Im a A1 at deloitte (been there for like 7 months), just interviewed at another place and got an offer for $95k + $5k signing as a Senior Consultant.

Congratulations to you! I was earning $42k at 23 years old..

How can I get Deloitte to do more than auto reject my resume?

Does jobs can actually help? Will take time off to fully use those free two weeks

Congrats, entered Covid making $71k. Starting a new gig next week with a TC of $220k. No additional degree, not overly technical… now is the time to make these moves 💪🏻

This all smells of a major correction in the job market at some point. Save your money because you will be first to go when a recession comes.

It’s worse. It’s binary. You either have a job or you don’t

like

It’s 100% EY.

KPMG ain’t paying that, and PWC is cohort model, everyone I know coming externally to EY is getting paid

like

Yep many got low balled. This is EY. They are paying 120-130 for SC

like

Same! 23 yrs old, less than 1.5 yoe and making 95k in LCOL. Literally feel like I have no skillset and am just really good in interviews. Been doing the bare minimum without falling behind on work. Thank you covid 👍🏻

like

Same 170k+ bonus, no idea what I’m doing. More life yoe than you, but not consulting. Fake it till we make it… or get fired 🤪

Where tf can i apply 🥺🥺🥺🥺

What is your skillset. That offer is amazing

like

So you interviewed, with fuck all skills (everyone’s a generalist when they have less than 2 yoe) and wooed them to the point they offered you that much….. I’m proud of you and congratulate you on your win!

like

That's awesome! As a more senior person now, you have so much more control over your day to day. Do you have sales and rev targets?

At first, I thought D3 is joking and after reading it again: My 9YOE calling me a loser for not having firm leadership role by now 🥲

Lol the amount of salt. I didn’t make over 90k until I was 24 then jumped all the way up to 220k+.

Where?

Deloitte to where? Please share! Also 1.5 years in and tryna hop!

Very nice - I was having some doubts interviewing at a smaller firm for a manager position. But this inspired me to go for it! Wish me luck.

Currently make 117K, and was aiming for 130K - but it seems like this place will pay more . So let’s see!

like

Sheeeesh - that’s wild. I’ve been here for 2.5+ years and still feel like I’m confused . But they liked me for the first round interviews. So let’s see what happens

EY handing out senior offers like crazy with pretty easy interview processes.

Well let me go apply real quick
