Hi guys, new joiner in the London office, here. I moved to the UK to take this job- and as such, don't have a home office setup. As a result, my back and neck are suffering daily. I know Deloitte supported home office setups but that was stopped earlier this year - is there any way to get Deloitte to help me set up an office anymore?

Alright fellow T&E submitters of the DMV, I’ve been dealing with this back and forth since I started in this region. Where do I submit as my location for T&E? I live in one, work in another, and my home office is in another. I always get a different answer. Is there a policy because I haven’t found it?

This week I started a listen through my entire record collection from front to back. I’ll be doing this on workdays when I am in my home office. Did it a few years ago. Collection has grown a lot since then. But I’m not doing comedy and spoken word this time. Too hard to work to those. I expect it to take 4-6 weeks at least. Depending on how many calls I have.

Currently fighting with my depression which means I end up sleeping late. I’ve been sneaking by so far but today just straight up slept through a client call I was supposed to take notes on. Said I had an emergency come up, but no idea what I’ll say if asked what that emergency was. Oh and I’m on a PIP, hence the depression flare up.

My arch-nemesis is the janitor who cleans the office restroom every day 5 minutes after I sit down for my morning constitutional. Always knocks and says “hello?!” Makes me do that awkward mid-shit response “…one minute…” and then I’m in a rush and they are standing right outside the door WAITING. My manager (female) stretched her legs during a 1:1 meeting and wrapped her legs around what she thought was a table leg. Turned out it was actually my ankle. I was shocked and didn’t know how to react, and before I knew it, it had been too long to awkwardly tell her. So I sat perfectly still the entire meeting. She never found out and I never spoke about it to her.
