email or call them and ask. we haven’t seen your lease agreement so we can’t give any real insights
Let them know ASAP and see if they'd be willing to work with you. If not, you may not get your full security deposit back, but that's probably all they'll be able to do. If you leave, you leave.
There may be stipulations in your lease where, if you don’t tell them 60 days out that you intend to renew, they assume you’re not and start marketing the unit.
There's no such thing as a 60 day requirement. They cannot enforce its.
DC housing law only requires 30 days notice (and that's if you want to stay)
You don't have to tell your landlord shit. If your lease end that's it - they legally cannot autorenew you or penalize you for not renewing.
If things escalate say you'll be contacting the DC housing authority &/or office if the tenant advocate.
DC law is VERY favorable to tenents
I’m in MD everyone
When are you moving? There's usually a little wiggle room at the end but you might lose some extra rent or part of your deposit.

Where are you moving?? Good luck!
They may just make you pay extra 60 days of rent.
Depends on your landlord. Mine was pretty understanding when I decided to move out of the country pretty short notice. Hoping that is the case for you
Is this included on the lease you signed off on? one of the reasons I hate renting..
Doesn't matter. Any lease he signed is superseded by DC Law
