Had only one call with my TL in first two months. Few weeks later, on workday I noticed that my TL got reassigned. Contacted him and have setup regular catch-ups. If you get offer but everything you negotiate: base salary, bonus, more WFH days in hybrid model, etc. they say no, do you still accept? Leaves bad taste in my mouth. Offer isn’t paying more than current but higher title and getting the experience will better position me. Research shows base salary is $2k less than market but total comp is $34k less than market. I’m okay with hybrid but rather it be 2 days in office vs 3 days (initial phone interview said 2 days in office).

Burnout from long hours is having a big impact on my family and my wife is asking me to consider working part-time for a while. Financially, we would be fine. I’m worried about how few opportunities there are for part-time MEs.

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.

My manager has prepared a roster for BTO with 2 days a week, different for each team member.
Is it fair enough if i request him to provide me WFO continuously for 2 weeks and rest 2 weeks WFH?
I have some family responsibilities and my hometown is far from anchor point.

Deloitte is remote until at least Sept 6, you can only access offices earlier with express permission. Some limited travel is occurring to client site prior to then.

After 9 years of being sober, my boyfriend just told me yesterday that he relapsed and started drinking again. Not that I am planning to relocate anytime soon but wanted to have your thoughts on which country you think is a safer option to relocate to?
Earlier I was interested to move somewhere in Europe but with the whole Russia and Ukraine situation and now possibility of Sweden and Finland joining NATO and Russia telling them not to, I don't think Europe might be a good option in the coming years.
