I just found out my long term client might be getting bought out by a competitor. Has anyone else ever gone through a similar situation? What did it mean for your engagement?

I had three different clients that were the same client. They went through a divestiture and then got bought out nine months later. Was interesting.

Well back in the day, I was implementing Oracle at Sun Microsystems. Then Oracle bought them and 200 of us were suddenly on the bench :)

Happened to me. We audited the acquirer so we were done after my project wrapped up and the acquisition process started.

Lots more work. For integrations. And optimization’s. And more integrations

I am expecting some EPAMer will respond. 1) Does EPAM Anywhere reimburse internet charges additionally? 2) How tough are client interviews? 3) I heard first month you get full salary. How's that possible if a person will be on bench? 4)Do you get laptop from project client? 5)How true is relocation buzz? 6)Can you brief about appraisal/promotion assessment? What's the process? How tough is it? Thanks

Need advice on ifrs 9 v ias 39. If client base ECL on fwd looking rate such as country GDP for lifetime ECL but a substantial portion of the receivables are already collected, do we apply the forward looking rate to the gross or net amount? In other words, is subsequent receipt an adjusting event for expected credit loss? If not, why not?

Being seconded to a client as an experienced consultant (but I have none), I didn’t know until I joined the project and the Director did not tell me they require experience before joining. So recently I asked the client to walk through a process an experienced consultant should probably know. I got an email from the Director asking me to stop asking clients questions like these and avoid mentioning I have no experience etc. What could I have done? my inexperience will show anyway right?

I excel in project management, data visualization, risk management, marketing, and communications. Thank you!
