How much salary can an agile project manager /scrum master expect with 8+ years of experience? What all things we need to consider beforing accepting the offer.
When I was a kid, I thought being a scientist would allow me to learn about the world. I didn't realize just how much paperwork there is.
Any men’s earrings recommendations? Have some clients who are very conservative. Any nude color earrings or ways to hide an earring? I have studs but thinking about changing depending on client.
Hi guys, need a suggestion..Recently I got offer from TCS with 80% hike, I have 11 years of exp and working in a product company in project management and highly underpaid. TCS also offering me good position. Is it good idea to switch from product comp to service comp irrespective of salary they are offering? Tata Consultancy
I’m taking a few calls for new opps at a couple different firms and wanted to get a pulse on feelings from folks who actually work there to help me narrow it down. Agencies are: Weber Shandwick, Ruder Finn, FleishmanHillard and a smaller boutique called LifeSci Communications. From The sounds of other threads on here, I’m nervous about WS. Looking for a read on Work/Life balance, how well staffed they are, avg pay range (VP level), PTO/holidays/benefits, etc. So, how do you like working there?
Has anyone transitioned from finance to project management here? Would love to hear about your experience and thoughts with it.
I work as a fully licensed State Farm Team Member. I have ADHD as well as a few other health problems. Due to my problems- I need a job that doesn’t have me on my feet all day. Currently I am making $13 an hour and I need a pay increase but I am not likely to get that here. I also need benefits which are not provided here. I REALLY need health insurance. I feel like I’m not appreciated like I should be- am I just burnt out or should I look for a new job? Any job recommendations?
Advice please! Heading on a long weekend, husband’s company is hosting an annual retreat for all employees (and plus ones). We are bringing baby and my dad is coming to babysit for 2 evening dinners we have to attend (one casual, one formal). There are lots of activities during the day and I have pushed back, saying husband can attend but I want to stay with baby so she can nap and also so my dad can spend time with her (not just while she’s sleeping). Husband argues that the “main” reason my…
40 weeks pregnant and terrified to be induced. Any tips on how to manage the stress and pain? I’m getting an epidural but still very nervous.
I feel like I'm aging at a rapid pace 😔😬🥴...I used to feel like I looked young for my age and now that I'm in my later 30's, I feel like everyday I look older and older. I don't wear a ton of makeup and do usually eat pretty healthily/ drink water. What other tips, tricks, and treatments should I be considering?!? (Mostly feel like my skin is dull, uneven tone, and wrinkles are becoming more apparent) Ugh, ha.... I know it's part of life but want to slow it down!
I’d love to hear how you’d approach this dilemma. I’m currently a SWE manager and spend half of my day coding and web architecture along with Security and the latter half in managing and production support. Over the last two months, I applied to over 50 opportunities and had to turn down over half of them because they barely match my current compensation/benefits, and the ones that do either end up rejecting me because I’m being told there are better candidates. What’d you do?
Hi guys 👋🏻👋🏻
I am filling the onboarding form for my next company IBM where they have asked 2 questions:
1)Were you earlier a member of Employee's provident fund scheme, 1952?
2) Were you earlier a member of Employee's pension scheme, 1995?
All I know is PF and EPS amounts were deducted from my salary in my previous company but how to know if I am a member of these two mentioned schemes?
Thanks in advance for your inputs guys 🙌🏻
Has anyone had a negotiating fail where the offer was rescinded because you asked for an increase in salary or benefits?
What benefits does your job offer for Vets that are in the reserves and get called to Active Duty? We at McKinsey only get 3 months of differential pay and then an optional 3 month loan. Others?
I mistakenly mentioned a client name when I was talking about my product management skills. This was for a product manager role interview at Apple that focused on Customer support.
I instantly realized that I shouldn’t have done that but I didn’t say anything because the interviewer seemed to be unbothered but he wrote something down. Also he continued with the interview like nothing happened. Am I screwed???
I have a client that is terrible. Their whole company is in flux, massive scope creep & one of the people at the company is highly verbally abusive.
But it’s also a retainer that is stable & pays well (and im not sure if I can backfill them easily right now between all of the tech layoffs & the upcoming holidays).
I’d love any advice - im leaning towards firing them & hoping things work out (because my mental health > $$$), but am nervous because the job market isn’t exactly humming.
Best long term investment strategy against inflation to get to a large nest in for retirement?
M&A lawyers, what are some best practices you’ve picked up or expect from your juniors? Lateraled and realized my training on these “expectations” was sub-par. Thinking of things like: updating checklist daily, following up if seniors haven’t responded to questions, running and circulating redlines as soon as opposing counsel’s comments come in, setting calendar invites for any filing/notice deadlines, etc.
Interviewing externally and they asked for samples of my client work. I think that is highly not OK. Thoughts? How can I pushback?
Am working at a tech startup and looking to move to a larger tech company. Partly seeking better WLB, partly want to work somewhere with more resources so I can continue to grow. What’s a good way to frame this in interviews? Does it reflect poorly to say I want to work somewhere w more resources, like im not a self starter?

I'm a retail employee, and I've noticed that a lot of my colleagues are really stressed out. They're often working long hours, and they don't feel like they can take time off when they need it. I'm worried about my own mental health. Is this what all retail is like?
Just curious. Excluding business recovery / restructuring teams that are more counter-cyclical. What TS group do you think is the least cyclical? Valuation / modeling? Accounting advisory? Then lastly how “cyclical” do you view them?
I got selected in TCS and accepted offer. By then my current company gave hike, so I asked TCS to update offer and HR agreed. But no reply to emails after that. So I told I am not joining TCS and continued in current company. After 3 months(towards the joining date at TCS), HR called again and asked if I am joining and offer update can be done and can join after 90 days. Still new offer is not released and no reply to emails. Onboarding manager is asking if I can join this week.
Need referal for optum in Pune location.

Don’t think I’ve honestly read the Quran cover to cover. I think it’s more important to read the translation. What do you think?

Hi moms - I have a 4 yr old who started Pre-K this week and we are supposed to send food from home. Looking for options that can be packed in lunch. Cooking everyday seems a lot!😀
Hello everyone!!! I’m so so sorry! I ended up getting called into work early this morning and only now I’m getting a moment! But I’m going to get through your questions and can’t wait to hear from you all!
Recently I had an emergency that required me to leave work around 10am on a Thursday to take my 5 year old son to the ER. I let my manager know he was going to be admitted and I wouldn’t be at work the next day. Friday morning I get a text at 8:05 asking if I’m coming to work. Not, how’s the little one? You guys okay? I never miss work, ever, and this felt like a complete slap in the face. I’ve wanted to quit for a while, but this is the icing on the cake. Should I say something to my manager?
BURNED OUT MOM! And sad to say it. 😔 I have a 2.5 years old boy and a 6 months old baby girl. The boy is becoming so so stubborn. I feel like his daddy and I are doing something wrong. He used to be way more behaving and generally a sweet boy said the daycare and neighbors. I know he is a good fella. Could this be just a phase?! It's worth mentioning both his dad and I are going through stressful times at work.
I’m worried I am too intense for my kids. I have always been a high achiever and had high expectations for myself and everyone around me. My kids are now middle school age and I am noticing they are maybe a little too worried about pleasing me and need to relax a bit. They get very good grades, etc but they both seem way too worried if they get a less than perfect grade. I try to reassure them that I love them no matter what but I’m not sure how to help them relax.
Do you struggle with loving your job and having your kids not being raised the way you wanted, either by family or childcare? I have toddlers and want them to be taught manners, rules, etc but have to relinquish control to others for care.
Thought this was a good share.
Do any of you stay with your current job bc of the flexibility you’ve earned over the years? I’ve been at the same company for ten years and am SO READY to make a change but I’m scared to give up the flexibility.
For example, my 3 and 1 year olds were home with me all week because daycare had to shut down. I did as much as I could, joined calls and met all deadlines but I also stepped away a lot during the day to pay attention to the kiddos. I’m scared if I go somewhere new this wouldnt be ok.
I’ve been back from Mat Lave for 6 months and recently sat down to meet with my new Supervisor to discuss future opportunities for advancement and express that I’m hoping to have a salary review soon.
He told me he agreed I was undervalued when reviewing my comp and mentioned a few times now that my maternity leave was a factor in me being underpaid - what do I do I feel heartbroken and discouraged? I feel so stuck - I love my work but how can I feel ok every day knowing this?
Hi all. First pregnancy and I just failed my glucose test and so have gestational diabetes. Feeling like a complete failure. Any words of wisdom??
Need to vent. I feel like giving 100% (let’s be honest, usually more than that) to work isn’t enough anymore. My projects get my undivided attention, but I’m too mentally exhausted to participate in all the workplace extras. The groups, the communities, the talks, the panels. The concern that it makes me look bad always lingers in the back of my mind, but as a working parent I don’t know how else to say it… I’m drained. I just want to do my job really well and then spend time with my family.
Hello moms, I need help for our soon to come baby girls name that will rhyme well with « Dorcas ». I really like the name Dorcas but my husband likes hyphenated names such as xxx-Dorcas or Dorcas-xxx. Any suggestions please?
Seeing so many posts about night nurses. Where and how do you find them and what’s the average rate ? Sleepless mama here looking for some support
KPMG moms - do we need to stay at the firm for a certain amount of time after maternity leave to avoid any clawbacks?
Currently have 12 years banking experience and an MBA. I’ve always been career driven but now I’m ending my 8 month mat leave soon with my 2nd baby. I’m really torn if I should take a few years off to be a SAHM. We can financially handle it, although it may be a little tight. My biggest concern is getting back into the work force in 2/3 years. Will this decision really impact my career? Maybe I can look into part time work but I don’t even know where to begin to look with banking experience.
Where do you find babysitters? Sittercity wants a subscription apparently but it also feels weird to pick someone off the internet vs someone with a connection.
How do you handle mom guilt? I feel like my 1 year old spends more time with a babysitter than he does me and whenever I'm off work I feel like I should spend every possible mintue with him. I don't feel like I can go anywhere with friends or family because those are precious moments I could be spending with my him. When I do convince myself that it may do me some good to do something fun all I think about is him and how I should be spending time with him.
Taking my almost 8 month old on a flight from LA to NY soon. Any tips? I’m prepared to feed on takeoff and landing but I am actually more nervous about the flight. My LO is very active (he screams bloody murder if he’s in the car seat for more than a half hour, hates his walker/swing etc.) and I’m so scared he won’t be able to sit still. I was thinking of bringing an iPad, but I don’t even know what to give him to watch since I haven’t really been doing screen time. Help!
