Now that you've listed all the cons of the bank role, what are the pros?

like

Wait, you've listed all these cons and despite that the bank job doesn't even have a substantial pay increase? Run away!

like

If you feel hesitant about it, then it isn’t good enough to take You should feel confident when you switch jobs

like

If it’s a middle office or back office role, don’t take it. Those jobs very rarely lead down a finance career. If it’s front office work, take it. Even if your base is the same the bonuses in banking are way better than accounting. And the front office experience can open up better exit ops down the line.

like

Sounds like a bad idea. Are you in financial services assurance or having trouble getting transferred there? If the latter, a few years in fs assurance before the move will result in way better opps. Dm me if you'd like to know more about cohnreznick fs assurance ; we're growing and looking for more seniors (I and a few others got promoted to manager this year so we Def need seniors)

Sounds like you know the answer.

Don’t lol

Are you talking about investment banking analyst?

I am on a F1 visa which makes things harder, MBB being kind of my only options.

I just recently left big 4 in July to pursue a role at a fintech company. It seemed great during the interview but once I got here it was very unorganized, not clear which team I would support, etc. Long story short, I was told we would have a hybrid work schedule and we are now required to go in-office full time 5 days a week and there have been a ton of layoffs recently. Should I stick it out or look for something else even though I’ve only been here 2 months?

Which plane to pick? Both United flights, 20 min time difference, same price. One is a 737 MAX 9 and the other 737-900 (layout 3 per seat guru). Buying 1st class tickets. I know there was the whole thing with the MAX planes in 2019/2020, but I have reasonable confidence that it won’t be a problem. But aside from that it’s a coin flip for me unless someone has some input

I don’t have much experience traveling in (Qatar international) business class. I recently upgraded a flight for 3 people but I am hesitant to pay again to reserve the seats. As far as I know they’ll let me choose the seats day before departure. Question — am I taking any risk by not assigning seats? I’m guessing since I already paid, they’ll hold the seats for us. Granted we may or may not be able to seat together.
