EY is hiring lawyers.
DM for job description.
McKinsey & Company Has Mckinsey met BA headcount quota for the year/did they freeze hiring? I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but haven’t heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I would’ve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.🥲 McKinsey & Company

No experience with the exact situation but it is my understanding that a vaginal delivery gets 6 weeks and c-sections gets 8 weeks under FMLA. I don’t think this can be negotiated.

This is unfortunately the way.
But sometimes, you can take FMLA in addition to work maternity leave if they offer it. So potentially you could still get yourself to 12 weeks off total.
Correct. Through state covered (and sometimes company subsidized) short term disability/FMLA you qualify for 4 weeks pre- pregnancy(use it or lose it) and 6-8 weeks post for either c- or vagina delivery. There’s also 12 weeks of unpaid benefit that protects you from getting let go at work.
The only thing from a paid perspective I can think of is that if you had complications and needed to extend your STD further out and if that maxes out, and you have medical need, you can go to LTD.
The 12-week may leave from Kpmg is not paid?
Yes 8 weeks for c-section and 6 weeks for vaginal is the standard for FMLA.
But at most companies FMLA is almost always separate from parental leave. Have you talked to your HR about their policies?
For instances at BCG, vaginal birth gives you 6 weeks of FMLA but maternity leave is 10 weeks (I think). So you get 16 weeks total (18 for c-section). And then you can also tack on vacation time, unpaid leave
They do 6-8 weeks of short term disability. You can still take your 12 weeks FMLA. Talk to the leave coordinator at your doctor’s office or your HR representative so you better understand the policies and rights available to you.
