From the majority culture was making fun of the minority guy. He was loudly imitating him and it really disturbed me although I’m also part of the majority culture. I don’t subscribe to this behavior at all, but I don’t want to spoil my relationship with majority of the team by bringing this up. What do I do?

FYI, both cultures are minorities in US 🤦🏻‍♀️ disgusted with the hypocrisy. Sigh

Anybody has had any major client business related fails. For me an interesting one was we questioning CEO why they have not done (a rather obvious) cross sell to which he actually replied ‘we didn’t get around to it, but that feels like a good idea and an opportunity’ it probably costed the firm about 10-20% in profit p.a. for 10 odd years. I was amazed and horrified at the same time that he said it coz I would have been fired for much less

Considering boomeranging back into public tax. It’s been about 15 months and I’m really not feeling my current job. I miss working with more than 2 people and on more than one project. But then I think hey I left for a reason, right? Wondering whether people had a better experience after boomeranging due to the new perspective ?

Ahem - any ladies have tips and tricks for hair removal practices I came from a culture of waxing but that requires hair to fully grow + my hair grows pretty quickly so waiting for full growth for waxing is hard to work around (for legs, underarms, etc.). I tried shaving but my hair began showing in 1-2 days. In general though, not something my family struggles with in general, but I’m just hairier? I know this is a weird question, but looking for any tips and tricks!

Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot. Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction. Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.
