Transfer process is easiest after you’ve networked in the region you want to transfer into (I’ve done this at ACN). Being a new joiner it’s going to be a bit harder. Don’t count on pay raise until next performance cycle.
You need to go through a formal process of changing offices, it requires OMD approval. As far as the “salary adjustment”, that would happen potentially in the next cycle. Accenture hires into certain offices and there are headcount levels we keep, these aren’t even in the same region. Keep your expectations in check but know it likely isn’t just as simple as “I wanna move to NYC, thanks, and oh BTW pay me more.”
Yes, I definitely understand that it’s not a simple process
No one knows what CMH is outside of Ohio.

Typically you need to be 12 months in role before geo transfer. You could try an extenuating circumstance due to client project being near NYC and not wanting to fly given covid. But it’s more of a long shot than sure thing.
CMH?
Columbus, Ohio
Maybe I should add that my current on-site client project is a 3h drive from NYC and will not end for another year or so. So, as far as headcount in a specific region, I’m not sure if it’ll apply in my case
That helps! Also, I’m sure most of the team is based in NY or at least the northeast region. Start networking with them, especially at the MD level
