Anyone combine ADHD meds with Nootropics? I do a lot of work in the startup/VC community and it seems everyone in that world is obsessed with nootropics. They have private message boards, meetups, etc., just to discuss the topic. I know at least a half dozen companies that have very active Slack channels on the topic where everyone from the CEO on down debates various cocktails, programs, brands.
Am I missing something? Last I read the research was VERY inconclusive.
Be a manager when I have a kid. No women at my level with a kid. And seeing you all do this is a relief.
OP do not tie levels to life decisions, this isnt a race. Do it when it feels right for you and your partner . The average salary for many jobs is just 75k
I know a few moms at my level just in my practice. Myself, one with three kids who came back after her kids were all in school, and another my age (35) with two. As my husband says, “You do you!”
I’m a senior and have an almost 1 year old
I don’t think it matters what level you are at, more so that you financially/mentally prepared (IMHO). Day care near me costs $2,300/mo + a mortgage + utilities + extra spending money, etc, etc... I’m a senior consultant now, but we are financially prepared for our kiddo (due in Sept). But everyone is different this is just my perspective 😊.
I have friends who will have their husbands become stay at home dads and are comfortable living on one income. It’s all personal preference, but you will figure out what works for you! 😊😊
A1 I feel like we need to become actual friends so I can stop freaking out!
Yup been rocking it as a single mom with minimal family support too! You got this! 👍
I had a baby as a senior consultant and ended up with a great year end rating and a promotion even with six months maternity leave in the performance year. It can definitely be done!
Good luck to you! This bowl had been a big help for me after having my first kid. Some helpful tips and usually just a group of women that make me feel less crazy
I was a senior with my first kid. I learned not to talk about having a baby, and for people who don’t know or don’t need to know they didn’t. But I did get a lot of negative feelings from people who thought they can think for me... sorry bud, am I girl and I’m allowed to make decisions about my own body and career and life. As a manager, I had my second, less negativity but still it can be challenge because people just don’t expect that I have kids. Now I make sure people know so they know YES my time IS limited. The firm needs to earn these best places to work for moms and diverse staff...
I’m a senior and just had a baby. There’s no “right” level to have a kid. Just prepare financially and mentally!
It’s scary! I’m scared. I’m mostly scared that I will have to sacrifice my career... I love ACN and consulting and fear I won’t be able to make it all work! I get so much value out of my job that I don’t know what I’d do if I had to sacrifice it. I’m taking it a day at a time and going by the motto that it works until it doesn’t and I’ll cross that bridge then. 🤷🏻♀️
