Citi - SVP Salary Expectations for Tech / Controls
Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

I can help you spend the extra money and make you happy
Coach
Post it here. a lot people here willing to help you out
😂😂 not sure I'm reading this correctly. Can you give more details?
Good friend of mine doubled his salary going to Meta. We have the same background and I can’t get entertained after multiple calls and loop interviews with them. I say enjoy the ride until the ride breaks. Meta is a hard group to get a foot in the door.
I need a sponsor to cover my mortgage...happy to help you reallocate additional funds
I was wondered the same thing are you bored. I’m individual who is underpaid in my job. If you are that bored let me do your job😆
Are they hiring for your position?!? I’ll take it
Ditto
Don’t say anything, but you’re first to go in the rounds of layoffs. Start saving the extra capital
The other reasons I can think of is that the employers are all doing something shady with OP set as the scapegoat fall guy and “mastermind” behind it all on paper. Or something happened where he can potentially sue them for much much more in a lawsuit, but he’s completely oblivious to what it could be.
Is this bighead from silicon valley?

congratulations- though initially you may come across as gloating, perhaps you could consider philanthropy. Amazing the benefits knowing the direct impact your contribution would make vs a general charity where a lot of contributions are swallowed through their own cost base.
I have high income, not high net worth
Pardon me?
I admire your modesty . Given that - Probably you are on a way to another raise . Sorry for not delivering a more comforting message .
I’ll be honest… I thought OP was serious too at first… momma always said I was special
I have student loans, if you want a good home for your extra salary.
If this was Reddit this author would get downvoted.
😂 is like a down vote
Fake it until you make it
I'm making it till I fake it
Oh god. Take it; if you feel that bad. Save it for your children or future childrens education. In 20 years you might not have a job (never know) and you will have wished you at lest saved for that.
Single. No children
As a freelance project manager, my income is always fluctuating based on the type of gig I have and the lifespan of the role. An extra weekly financial award via gifting/sponsorship would be much appreciated and create more balance — I could certainly allocate the new purpose of your spillover via Zelle. 😚☺️
But seriously my fellow fishbowler, count yourself tremendously fortunate that you have funds coming your way that you don’t know what to do with. Have you already purchased a home? Your dream car? Have life insurance and a decent savings outside of Meta’s offered retirement package? Considered any fun an interesting hobbies you could commit that will bring you joy, but may require a budget to maintain? Travel much for your birthday or during a holiday season? There so much you can do … and … if you feel compelled, well, you see the QR.
Blessings friend! You’ll figure it out. 🫶💪💪

I don't spend anything. I rent a pretty small place and drive a 10 year old car. I have hobbies but pretty much all of them are cheap or nearly free like hiking.
This is nucking futs!

Come again?
Take it and milk it for as long as you can. Realize you might have to take a pay cut in the future.
I think you’re asking the wrong question. The question should be how Can you steward that money to do something you enjoy and impact others? Maybe that can be through philanthropy, starting your own business, mentoring other engineers or teaching what you do, build affordable homes soo people have places to live in. And also know, no business will pay you more than you’re worth, meta isn’t a non profit. They’re not paying you out of the goodness of their heart. You deserve that salary and if the job is easy for you, then that’s ok but do something with what you have because otherwise you won’t need to ask for a lower pay, it will be taken from you all on its own.
Use the extra funds you're getting and either donate or give back to underprivileged workers!
