Was interviewing w/ a company since Jan. Their internal politics led to me getting and signing the written offer today...at 21 wks pregnant. When I started the process, I didn't even know I was pregnant. By the time background checks complete, my start date will be around 24-25 wks. Gotta reveal the news to the hiring manager - while I don't have anything to feel bad about, I still do?!? Do I wait for the background check to clear or do I tell him now? Dreading this conversation😫

I've had 5 no-shows to video interviews for a recruiter position. It's a full-time time, salaried , 100% remote role. I have 8 other corporate roles and not experiencing this. Any tips or ideas? I send interview reminders, send a follow-up email/text after the no show to make sure they are ok. I haven't heard back from anyone. So odd.

What are some essential things you do when starting a new job in a leadership position?

Fiancée (woman) wants to keep her hyphenated name after her previous divorce because she likes it better and wants to keep using it for her career/personal brand. Fiancé (man) thinks keeping it hyphenated is disrespectful to him, does not see how shortening a hyphenated name detracts from personal branding, would prefer she only use her maiden name going forward, and does not want her to adopt own last name once married. So… i was just interviewing for the role of head of customer operations with a recruiter who is hiring for a company she couldn’t disclose the name as it’s semi government org and she said she is under NDA No worries, but is it normal not to have her camera on? I felt frozen so I sort of did not know how to react… Another trigger for me is she said I’ll be wearing multiple hats… Hiring training and managing performance as well as budgeting and overseeing operations. I’m a part time branch teller and, due to this pandemic, my limited hours were cut back even further. I have to find a second job and may settle with fast food service. I have a bachelor’s degree in finance and currently studying for the CFA level 1 in December, but just can’t seem to get ahead and find a full time position.
