I just relocated and started a new job and now I can’t stop thinking about work even after my day ends. Going out in covid isn’t an option. Any tips on what works for you?

I really hate to say this because I hate doing it but working out. If you can’t go to a gym, go on long walks. I was in the same place and I’m also not athletic so working out isn’t super fun for me but wow did it clear my mind. Get into a routine with it if you can (hard when you’re working a lot). I actually find if you make it a routine and talk about it with your coworkers they become more understanding and it gets easier to build into your day. I also got really into podcasts with my walks. Good luck, feel better!

Agree with working out. A sport is good also.

Read a paper book. Exercise - gym is good, outdoor class, cycling or walking even better. Cook from scratch - it's more absorbing if you buy from a market or an ethnic food store than a supermarket. Basically giving your mind and body over to something physical and engrossing.

I got a puppy for many other reasons, but one of the best unforeseen benefits of getting a dog is at the end of the day I can sign off and focus on something else. I take him to the park, go on walks before and after work and honestly it’s made my days so much better. Maybe this is what people feel like when they have real human kids 🤷🏻‍♀️ TLDR: My advice - get a dog 😁
