Hello guys, I've n offr frm techm for sr soft. eng. and they are offering 100%hike. Hr is telling that I will have to work at client location in gurgaon. Nw the thng is after my selection i recved 20-30 calls frm other recruiters of techm wich I thnk ws fr the same position as they told its for client location in Gurgaon. My concern is all of them told it will be 6 working days/rotational shift and when I checkd with my hr, she told its 5 WD and she was not sure about shift timing. Tech Mahindra
Currently in Intv process with EPAM Systems in Canada for Performance analyst role ( Performance testing / engineering ) and also Test Automation role. I am new to Canada and have about 6 years experience in each field. What would be salary ranges offered? Other services companies in market are offering in 105 -120 range.
Also what can i expect in project interview and manager interview? Will it be highly technical? I cracked round #1 technical interview, it was easier than expected EPAM Systems

They are based in OKC and they represent mostly local government, education and casinos. NRA seems to be their only major national client. Remember: not everyone in advertising is a bi-coastal liberal so I’m sure there are plenty of people happy to work on it. I wouldn’t, though, not once.

@Director of Content 1: thanks for the bicoastal liberal jab. I’m not on either coast. If you’re in advertising and working on things that are openly killing people: guns and cigarettes, I find you confusing. But then again I find straight people confusing too, so what do I know?

It is completely surprising to me when a majority of the country thinks we need tougher gun control. You would think an org like the NRA would have an internal agency versus an actual agency. Naive? Sure. I just don’t know who could watch what happened in Parkland and make the spots and pieces on NRATV the next day. That’s not naïveté, that’s an expectation of humanity. But I guess that’s aiming too high
The difference is at an internal agency you are making that choice to work on and engage in that client. I was at an agency and they told me I was going to be moved to cigarettes and I said no thanks and resigned so there’s an element of choice. But your point is well made about different strokes for different folks

@GCD sorry but I do think your view on the advertising world is a little naive (but aspirational all the same). People make these things that kill people (cigarettes, guns etc) so it’s not a great leap for me to understand that some people will also market those things. The NRA has enough money to constantly lobby hundreds of politicians so it’s completely unsurprising to me that there is an agency willing to take their money. Honestly, if you think everyone in your industry has the same values as you do, I’m sorry, they don’t.
I guess to your point about an internal agency, you’re acknowledging that a team of creatives would work on it. Why is it so hard to understand an agency would do the same? Especially one in a very republican location? Don’t get me wrong, I cannot comprehend working on such an abhorrent account myself, but I guess I’m not shocked to think that others might. It’s the same with many other professions. There are people out there who will willingly represent and defend monsters if the price is right.
